Maybe it's a small mercy that, since they weren't yet married, the fiance probably won't get any dough.

Essentially yeah, but what I don't understand is, if the thread and/or comments in the thread bother you, then why continually revisit it?
I mean I've avoided the animal euthanasia thread on here for so long that I think I've conditioned myself to not even see it when it's on the first page.

I was reading through this thread and the guy posted a comment about me. He essentially is calling me out. Sorry, but I will not ignore that kind of post. Otherwise it is all good.
If I don't like a comment somebody posts sometimes I will tell them I don't like it. That is my right on the board. If they want to reply back then that is their right. etc etc.

What an odd bump, but seeing as I missed the original post I am very thankful for the bump. I'm in tears from all the horrible jokes in this thread. They are all so tasteless I wish I could stop laughing. :|

When you die and people laugh . . . . You'd probably do something different about what happened if you could.
Horrible event but . . . . . Them's the breaks.

these stories remind me of an accident that happened in kelowna probably 15 years ago. at the time i was doing construction (concrete forming & framing) so you got to know the local concrete truck operators. i guess after a job the one truck operator drove back to the plant and was cleaning out his truck and some how got caught/pulled into the hopper. one of the other drivers saw him get pulled right in - so brutal. ugghhhh.

We had a cleaner at work die one day, his plastic overalls, which were hanging loose, got snagged on a spinning auger and he was essentially sucked into a tube and spit out as mush at the other end.
Another day, some new guy was using a machine to remove hides from cows, and he was using a hook when he shouldn't have been. The hook caught in the hide as the 'pull' happened, and he was yanked through about a 2 inch opening between 2 rollers in about 1 second, and pretty much every bone in his body was smashed.
At another plant, this guy was doing his job when his knife slipped and went above his chest protector which was a few inches too low. He walked to the nurse, who saw the cut and patched him up with a bandage. He went back to work and died a couple minutes later, since the knife had actually gone directly into his heart, but they couldn't tell.
Bad training, equipment and safety procedures will kill people. Lucky for me I only ever cut my arm open and hurt my knee.
