While not the ideal result (a Spurs win) it is more than satisfactory.

To be honest, I was waiting for Spurs' third goal. It was a healthier approach.

even though the screen said 3-3 I just assumed 4-3 Arsenal for the last 15 minutes

favorite part about Rafa is his hate for Arsenal, it makes no real sense because he has only been at the club for 7 months but it makes him an instant legend

End of season party ends in rearend tragedy....

Quote:
There was a painful conclusion to an end-of-season party when a Welsh Non-League footballer suffered severe injuries when a pool cue was rammed up his backside.

A source, believed to be a team-mate, told the Mirror: "It was a bit of horseplay that went # seriously wrong. We'd all had a few drinks when one of the lads did a moonie. A player picked up a pool cue and it all went wrong from there."

Oh the Welsh....

Why should "hatred" for an opposing club be celebrated or revered? All this tells me is that he is a bit thick. Association Football has a major problem globally with local, regional and sectarian violence and when players get involved in the "hype" or "hatred" aspect it is largely unhelpful. I can understand (sort of) why supporters feel this way, especially if they are from the area and it is a generation thing. But players are largely mercenaries, flitting from one team to the next, sometimes from rival to rival and most are at a club for very short periods of time.

Most times "hatred" like this springs out of one of two things; jealousy or stupidity. My sense is that he fits nicely into one or both of the categories.

I disagree, I think it shows commitment to the club

hatred was the wrong word because I don't think he hates any of the players on Arsenal, but the problem with like you say so many mercenaries in football nowadays is that rivalry games and derby matches which mean so much more to the fans than other games seemingly mean the same to most players

Rafa's two best games this year have probably been the two against Arsenal, he understands that those are the most important games in the league for the fans

Neil Lennon hates Rangers so much that people send suspicious packages to his house. He's got fantastic commitment to Celtic, which borders on fanatical.

Playing up these intense rivalries as a player is a bit silly.

You'd think Arsene Wenger would have learned better English by now.

You must understand my frustration on that post. I was hanging on by a clear thread that we might just win something this year. You honestly don't think I know Arsenal can't play defence very well. It was a dive and it didn't help us at all, but it is what it is. It is going to take a win by Arsenal and a win by Chelsea against Man U for Chelsea or Arsenal to have a shot. Arsenal has no one to blame but themselves in the long run though, because we've had every chance to win the title this year but blowing leads has cost us. Arsenal has the talent to play with any team in Europe and as good as wnger is at bringing attacking football, he needs to teach his team to defend as well.

Hopefully Man City keeps the Spurs from Champions league, that would be one saving grace from this season that has had so much promise at the start of the year.

Nope never said it was liverpools fault but it was shady reffing that is for sure. In the long run I agree Arsenal should have never put themselves in that position. But that is Arsenal football at its finest.

except that in a rivalry like Spurs/Arsenal the only violence lately that I can think of is Jack Wilshere spitting on cabbies wearing spurs hats

its an intense rivalry but it doesn't have the stupid idiotic violenc of something like Celtic/Rangers, or even some of the ones in Italy or Spain (Lazio/Roma and the Madrid/Barca ones come to mind) or even Millwall/West Ham

its a footballing rivalry, not a rivalry for football firms

Sure I can understand the frustration. It really doesn't matter anymore now anyways after the 3-3 draw with Spurs.

Lucas appeared to go down fairly soft, but there was clearly contact there. Surely there was just as much contact as there was on the penalty at the other end a few minutes earlier. I can't really claim to have got a good look at it though as i was watching a 3 inch by 3 inch feed on my computer.

Sounds like a baseless rumor. Have not heard anything of the sort over here.

Weak tie today.

Looks like it is 5th this year for Spurs.
