So the list shows that I am not the highest paid person in my highschool grad class by just shy of $18,000,000.

For the F1 salaries that may just be what the constructor pays them, they would also get money from sponsorships etc that may not be included. I was surprised to see Hamilton as the top paid athlete in England. I for sure thought a soccer player would have beat him.
And I am sure Vettel got a very nice pay raise for this season F1. I would expect to see him as the top German athlete earner in next years list.

Why would you care how much he makes? I'm not being a dick, but I'm curious why it would bother you to the point of vomiting.
There is no salary cap in baseball so it is not restricting the Yankees ability to sign other players. Since going to the Yankees he's made the All Star team 6 times, won 3 Silver Slugger and 1 Hank Aaron awards, has been an AL MVP twice and helped the team win the 2009 World Series, their first since 2000. He has an above .300 average and hit .365 in the postseason in 2009.
It's not like you are paying his salary, and if the Yankees are happy to pay it, I don't see how it would upset you personally. I don't like the Giants paying Zito an average of $18.5M per year, because that does hinder their ability to sign a player with their self imposed salary cap. I don't mind the job Zito does and I think he's a great team player and person, but the Giants don't have unlimited coffers where they can just bury his salary for three more years and not care.
Once again, I'm not attacking you, just curious on your opinion.

I'd like to see the Canada specific breakdown. I'm guessing that there's a few non-hockey players on top of the list. Steve Nash, for sure, is above any hockey player.

I don't think that at this point those would be that much anymore since she no longer has much appeal after showing she is nothing special and don't think those would count in this list as they are similar to endorsements which aren't included.

I expected New Zealand's to be Steve Williams, who is Tiger's caddy, as I've heard he was the top paid sportsman from there in the past. Although with Tiger having a rough couple of years, he probably hasn't been paid nearly as much as in the past.

Without endorsements I would think it's Heatley at $8 million this season. That's a pretty good chunk of change.
What about the top Canadian in terms of career earnings?
Lecavalier will have earned $112 million by the end of his current contract.
Steve Nash's career earnings are around $107 million as of this season.

I think people have a right to be pissed off when someone makes that much money after cheating.
Are you pissed off when a CEO embezles millions...why is this any different?

Pretty surprising to see Manny Paq make 16mill a fight.

I dunno, I'm not really surprised. Paquiao was, I believe, the second highest grossing pro athlete last year or the year before. You can make insane amounts of money in boxing if you're on top.

It's crazy how guys like Paquiao are making more money than the big heavyweights these days though. People just don't care about heavy weight boxing in the same way anymore.

I know there are at lest two Bahamian-born players in the CFL, but according to this list there are no pro athletes from The Bahamas. I guess the CFL isn't pro enough.

If I personally had money in the company that was affected, I'd be upset if my net worth went down. If I worked for a company and the CEO did that and I became unhireable, I'd be upset.
If I cheered for a sports team and had no financial interest in it, plus I continued to support that team after knowing of the cheating, I wouldn't care what they paid him. If I was that upset with the Yankees for employing a player who had admitted to using steroids, I'd stop cheering for them. I wouldn't be able to justify having it both ways.

WHAT?!?! I have a hard enough time defending golf as a sport, but there is no way someone can tell me being a caddy makes you an athlete or a sports figure.
