Anyway, I'll re-post all the trailers and such, including episodes 1 and 2, so far.
I would HIGHLY recommend you watch these in FULL SCREEN with 1080p selected.
I read somewhere that this will be a 10 part series. But it seems like it might be longer. New episodes are posted every Tuesday. I'll do my best to post them here.
Rumours circulated the internet that Tancharoen had successfully acquired the rights to create a mini series on Mortal Kombat. These were confirmed on January 24, 2011, as it was officially announced that an official 10-episode web mini-series based on the short had been greenlit by Warner Bros. The series will be written by Kevin Tancharoen and Spartacus: Blood and Sand writers Todd Helbing and Aaron Helbing, with Tancharoen directing.
Quote:
Characters that are rumored to be included from the Mortal Kombat franchise are Shang Tsung, Liu Kang, Sub-Zero, Kabal, Kitana, Mileena and Scorpion.
These are NSFW: language, violence and all that cool stuff.

This looks pretty cool... It's probably to help build up the new video game but it would be cool if it was a prelude of sorts to a new movie since it seems to be giving us a back story of the characters.
Either way I'll be enjoying these

Actually the original video was a pitch for a reboot movie. It didn't end up happening but they were able to do a series of webisodes instead. They are suppose to be making a new Mortal Kombat movie though.

In a rather disappointing turn of events, The ongoing Mortal Kombat web series, MK:Legacy, has been censored and re-edited. The glorious, gory, scene from Episode 2, where Jax, literally, punches kano’s eye out of his head, and the scene where we see Kano undergoing a surgery, have both been removed. The eye popping punch has been replaced by a black screen, and the surgery scene has been heavily edited.
We do not know, yet, who is responsible for this, but Kevin Tanchareon, Series director, has mentioned that episode 2 was flagged by, some, youtube users who found the episode to be violent. whether the editing was forced by youtube or Machinima (the channel who bought the rights to show the series on the web) is not clear yet.
So if you watched it before, and saw the eye pop out, then kudos. I don't think we'll see anymore of that kind of stuff.
This sucks
Good thing it's being released on DVD and BluRay. Then we'll be able to see the un-edited stuff.
Here's a couple more videos to tide everyone over until episode 3 on Tuesday.
The censoring really does take away from it, especially the latest (Johnny Cage) with all the swearing being edited out. I'm still a fan though and look very forward to seeing these all together without censorship. I can't wait to see the Scorpion/Sub Zero episode(s). I can't see them being anything less than amazing judging from what I've already seen. It's a shame they're probably saving them for last since those two are the fan favorite characters from MK.
I haven't found proper links on YouTube for the un-censored versions. I'm sure people have copied them, but Machinima.com made it sound like they would be hosting them.
