Gareth Barry has never met a defender he couldnt hit with a cross. Hugely overrated. I remember that match against Germany (fondly) and not only did Ozil make him look like a slug, he couldnt deliver in one single cross.
Not in the same conversation, but holy hell is Gareth Bale also hugely overrated. Hes in for EPL's best player and young player awards? For what? One game against Inter? At the very least though he can put a damn cross in.
As for Gerrard, on one leg Steven Gerrard is still better than Joey Barton, and I like Barton. Gerrard should be England's captain, he has been by far their best player when fit, but you know what, if they continue to ignore his performances for his country, fine by me, they can cut him from the team and he can focus on Liverpool.
And Fatty Frank's never really been all that good.
At least this board, despite all the despicable Mancs, doesnt have any rentboy fans.

In other news:

Redknapp was not impressed by the way that Real defender Pepe immediately pleaded with referee Felix Brych to send the striker off after the second foul, and with the play-acting which he feels followed both tackles.
"They made a meal of it. They made sure they got him sent off,'' Redknapp told talkSPORT. "When it happened they were all after the referee and overacting and the player was rolling around.''

OKay, I disagree, unfortunately those were yellow cards, regardless of what the players on the field were doing. Usually I hate the way Spanish teams conduct themselves on the pitch, but in this case I dont think it really mattered. He went into two tackles with his studs up.

Sunderland chairman Niall Quinn has revealed the club is being sued by a fan struck by a wayward Djibril Cisse shot.
A fan was knocked unconscious by a shot while watching a training session and has begun the process of legal action against the club.
"I'm making fun of it now, but it knocked a supporter out. It was quite serious. That supporter is in the process of suing us right now. It was one of those things."

What a freaking pansy. It was in training! Holy crap, I cant believe he even admitted to being knocked out let alone is now sueing them. They'll just stop letting people into training, which they should.

Rooney loses his appeal, his 2 match ban stands.
They must have borrowed Campbell's wheel of justice.
"You go on elbowing people in the brain, thats all well and good but just dont swear while you're doing it."

Bale gets a lot of press because teams have to gameplan for him. He's been incredible when fit this year. I thought he was excellent in both games against Inter and his performances in the PL going back to the end of last season have been consistently good.

Holy crap. Aurelio injured early, Carroll fell badly on his ankle, but has to play through because Carragher got smoked in the jaw by Flanagan and Kenny only has 1 sub left.
I hope Carroll is okay, now lets get one on Arsenal here. I really dont care who wins the title, I want Liverpool to do their best and take some momentum into next season.

That was bad, they had him on the stretcher, in the neck brace and giving him oxygen. Looked really serious.
Also, Carroll subbed for Jonjo Shelvey. Hopefully thats not too bad.
So, now Arsenal are playing a Liverpool squad that has Flanagan and Robinson at the back, Kygriakos with Skrtel in the Centre of defence, and Jonjo Shelvey instead of Andy Carroll.
If Arsenal dont win this they had better hang their heads.
