I didn't like it a whole lot not because of the nerdiness, I liked that, but I just didn't like roleplaying that much, I made a terrible GM.

Maybe that's why I liked Mechwarrior, less role, more spreadsheets.

I always hated being the DM, but no one else would do it. I wanted to spend more time playing, thats where the real fun is

Sorry, I had to. I don't have a problem with D&D. Never played it.

in 2008 I was game to try D&D with some guys I worked with. Never played it before in my life. They convinced me to try it out, or watch them play for an evening. But they kept getting pissed off at me because it was playoff time, and I couldn't make it for a few weeks. In the end, my D&D experience never even took flight.

Agree or Disagree: D&D and other roleplaying games are awesome and anyone who doesn't/hasn't played them is missing out on one of the great joys of life.

I agree that D&D was awesome when I was younger. Good way to spend a crap-weather day with friends, and it was never NEAR as nerdy as people seemed to think it was.

That said, I don't miss it that much. I'd consider playing again, but it's waaaay down the list (Motorcycle, Hockey, Women, Baseball, Edumacasion).

Agree or Disagree: 3.5 is superior in every way to 4th edition. 4th ed is for kids who were raised on video games and has no place at the RPG table.

D&D was good, AD&D was great, and AD&D 2nd Edition is where the game was perfected. Everything Raveloft and beyond bites the big one......Wizards of the Coast can suck it. TSR all the way!
