He sounds good easy to do when you'll never have to back your talk up... frankly what I'm wondering is how long has he known Harper? Because from his long list of "you used to" he sounds like an entirely different Stephan Harper that I'm familiar with.
Deceppe minus the language barrier would just be a monster out there (in a good way)... to bad he's a separatist.

He had to have known this was coming, really isn't defending himself all that well.
As I type this, he makes a pretty solid defensive statement.

Talk about bias. the question offered to Harper and Duceppe was a question that was directly pointed against the conservatives. The question offered to Igantief and Layton was simply asking both to state their position.

You're right about that. No question there. Harper seems more composed than Martin was so far.

This is a good topic for Ignatieff. Layton was strong on the quip about drugs to africa but Ignatieff has him outclassed on the Afghan file.

I think that Harper has been pretty decent so far, he just seems to be a little more well prepared then the other candidates.
I think that Layton has scored some points against Ignatieff.
I think Duceppe has been a little weak tonight. Oh and Duceppe as we speak brings up the George Bush buggaboo.

I think this format doesn't speak to Harper's strengths. He's really struggling.
Layton was doing great until he went head to head with Ignatieff, and then I think he overreached.
TBQH, the one who seems most comfortable is Duceppe, but Harper is clearly very uncomfortable.

"I just went to a meeting" is Harper's response to losing the seat on the UNSC?
Weak. How did he not see that question coming? It's not like there aren't way better answers; he just can't seem to think of any.

Rights & Democracy... I was wondering if they'd warrant a mention it's a little too "inside baseball" to score electorial points but it's an interesting story.

Well 3 on 1 is kind of difficult, but yes you are right he has to weather it. But that was pretty weak.

As the incumbent, you expect most of the attacks to be against Harper, and he seems to be doing reasonably well fending them off for the most part. Not really a fan of the moderator, though; Harper is interrupting and speaking over the other leaders quite frequently without being strongly rebuked.

Do people really care about the UN seat? Considering Portugal won it, it was obviously a joke vote.

Give Ignatieff credit for actually staying on point with the issue.

We've seen interruptions from all the leaders, the moderator is incredibly weak.
