Mmm... that's why I want to move back downtown. Be amongst my own. Right here I'm contemplating not voting at all since in my riding the Conservatives could put forth a serial baby rapist and he'd win by a landslide.

When I first moved to Ottawa, that riding wasn't very NDP... both the Conservatives and Reform got more votes than the NDP that first election. However, when Ed Broadbent came back to politics, he ran in Ottawa Centre and he was as incredible as he ever was. And then he backed Dewar, who also has been doing a good job locally. I guess it's a good riding to represent since you can do more locally WHILE doing your federal duties.

Rode past a whole street full of Devinder Shory (Conservative NE) signs this morning on my bike ride to work. I think they might have been on every single lawn.

Of course, the street is one of the closest residential streets to his office.

So I guess you could say, the Cons are running a bush league campaign.

If the Liberal signs were in the bushes, wouldn't it be the liberals running a bush campaign?

Not if the Cons tossed them there.

The polls seem to indicate he is indeed made of teflon. We shall see how the polls are come Friday.

So what will be the Liberal spin on this "terrible news"? Hey look, the Cons stole your money just like us! Vote for us!

^ How much spin do they need? One day the CPC is giving roses to the Auditor General and the next their using quotes about the Liberals to bolster their own credibility? The spin is that the CPC stole the Liberals good news!

A more interesting question is how in the world Harper makes this look good tomorrow night?

No the real question is how did the report leak. When we see the actual report, then the weasels on both sides can come out of the woodwork and start making accusations and flinging the poop.

Clearly it was an opposition MP who leaked the report. That doesn't mean its untrue though. Who cares?

The Auditor General report that says that CPC used her words from a decade ago is far from a leak though....I think the letter is in the link I posted earlier.

So leaking it will make the report a lie?

Harper must have been ecstatic to goto this election so the AG report wouldn't come out until after the election.

The report was a draft, do you know what that means? The AG is even saying use "caution" with what was leaked.

You can believe that if you want. But I get the feeling you are apt to believe just about anything negative about Harper. So how is that pitch fork sharpening thing going for ya?

Well surely Harper and his cronies will release the report right? Baird claims to have seen it, and we all know a little parliamentary procedure never stopped them in the past!

If that report exonerates them, they release it for sure. According to one CBC reporter though its "Brutal".

Also if the draft says bad stuff about the CPC and their handling of the funds then surely there is some evidence that Harper and his pals gave to the Auditor General to change her mind, right? Just produce the evidence that this isn't a case of pigs at the trough and it'll all go away.....
