Default 2011 Masters from Augusta Georgia

The first major of the PGA season at the stuffiest, of stuffy old boys clubs starts tommorrow.

Does Phill defend his title after winning the Shell Houston Open last week?

Does one of these younger bombers like Bubba Watson or Dustin Johnson finally win their first major?

Does the uber exciting Martin Kaymar win another major?

Does Tiger make the cut?

Does Mike Weir survive a day?

I am looking forward to the masters (as I do all majors).

Go Tiger!

Ishikawa is donating all his tour earnings this year + 1200 for every birdie to Japan.

Does Tiger make the cut?!?

Sure Tiger has had a very inconsistent 12 months of golf, but one thing you don't bet against is Tiger Woods at Augusta. I'll eat my shorts if he misses the cut.

I'd give it 25% chance that either Tiger or Phil will win. Otherwise, I think I will go with Bubba. Augusta is all about hitting a long draw, or a long fade in Bubba's case- something he does very well. His putting and short game has gotten much better, and he is lights out on putts under 10 feet.

Kaymer hasn't played well at Augusta, but we'll see this time. Would love to see Westwood or Els win, but would be surprised given the start they've had.

Entered one of the ESPN best ball challenges. There is a 50 mil cap and here is my foursome for Thursday.

McIlroy 14.6
Watson 13.9
O'Hair 12.0
Immelmen 9.4

I can change my foursomes before each day if I want.

Weather looks to be absolutely perfect for the tourney. Should make for some good shot making.

Im thinking of making the drive tomorrow if a buddy of mine can make the time.

For majors they should have all day coverage. I hate that I still have to wait 3 hours to watch it.

Retief Goosen is absolutely ripping it up early. 5 under through 8 including an eagle 2 on the 1st hole.

Looks like scores are going to be very very low today.

Mcilroy now the leader....and looking completely in control. 64 dead in his sights.

Tiger blowing up all of a sudden...looks like he will go to +2 thru 12.

Snedeker and fisher are clubhouse leaders at -3 but that will change.

Lots of good so far and some bad including Mike Weir.

Woods just missed about a 5 foot putt for a 3rd straight birdie.

This thread needs mellow piano playing in the background. And whispering.

How about Fred Couples today? Now at -3 at over 50 years old! That swing never goes out of style...

Man I can't wait to start playing some golf!

Wouldn't be surprised if Freddie hangs around right to the end, he knows this place too well, and he came pretty close to winning earlier in the year at another great old course that he loves and knows well, Riviera.

That would be quite the story on the 25th anniversary of Jack's win in '86

Not to mention he finished 6th last year and has been playing great golf all year.

He loves the place and knows it well...as long as his back holds up he should do quite well.
