Rachel Maddow is much like Beck in that she has a slant. But shes fair and not crazy. A more appropriate comparison is O'Reilly and Maddow. They present the news in their own slanted way.
Yeah I'll agree with that, even if I find Maddow to be better researched and reasonable. The equivalent to Beck on the left doesn't get air time in the States. Maybe the Zeitgeist movement would be a good equivalent.

I bet Rachel Maddow's IQ is at least 30 points higher than Glenn Beck's.
Just sayin.

Cause I bet you have a bachelor's degree from Stanford and a doctorate from Oxford.
And you're a Rhodes scholar...right?
You may disagree with Maddow's political views or her tact, but her intelligence is unimpeachable. Ridiculing her for it makes you sound like the 68.

I think it was a poke at both of them. Calling Beck a 38 is stupid too, btw.
Wow...I just read this:
"By 1994, Beck was suicidal, and imagined shooting himself to the music of his fellow Washingtonian, Kurt Cobain.[21] He credits Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) with helping him achieve sobriety. He has said he stopped drinking alcohol and smoking cannabis in November 1994, the same month he attended his first AA meeting.[21] Beck later said that he had gotten high every day for the previous 15 years, since the age of 16."
AA: Turning drunks into raging bible thumpers since 1935.

I vehemently protest that kind of tit-for-tat thinking.
And that comparison specifically. If Bush had sat down with Maddow at MSNBC just before the superbowl she wouldn't have belittled him the way that O'Reilly did to Obama.

I thought the recent surge of the 'tea party' meant Americans have become stupider and are only listening to the likes of Beck?
Oops.
Beck is a charlatan. Believes in politics in the same way John Edwards (psychic) believes in the afterlife - they believe whatever their audience needs them to believe.
The fact that I wacthed him on Headline News and saw his evolution from hating everyone that opposed Bush to McCarthyism with less dignity to full-on doomsday talk.
He'll do whatever will result in adulation.
That is intended to be an insult toward Beck, but a rather mild one.
The full shame belongs to the ignorant racists that made Beck a star when he found out what they needed to hear.
Oops indeed.

Gozer that interview was fair and even handed. The President and O'Reilly had a nice exchange and O'Reilly was working with time constraints, he had to push the interview along
