Laughably outdated thinking, cowboy. There's plenty of good jobs out there in the creative field, whether it be in architecture, advertising, graphic design, film/video etc. You do realize that getting an art degree doesn't mean you're going to be a lazy hippie painting watercolors right?
People might not be making doctor/lawyer money, but they have the opportunity to make a pretty solid living. Just like with any degree, it's not what you have, it's what you do with it. And besides, the last thing the world needs is another frickin lawyer.
