Rolling Stones - 675 (Only have maybe 10 albums but have about 20 live bootlegs from late 60s/early 70s. Definitely one of the best bands as far as bootlegs go)

Lynyrd Skynyrd - 420 (All albums, live albums, side projects like Rossington Collins Band and about 10 bootlegs.)

Metallica - 325 (All albums and some bootlegs.)

Bone Thugs n Harmony - 252 (All albums, side projects, unreleased stuff)

Hank Williams - 195 (Anything relating to the great Hank that has ever been released.)

The Band - 190 (All their great albums, Last Waltz and some live bootlegs)

Neil Young - 175 (Numerous albums, live albums and a few bootlegs)

Those are my tops.

I'm sure you can tell but I love bootlegs!

The only way you have 115 Descendents songs in your playlist is if you have every song in their discography in there.

M, 22

Queen - 211
Garth Brooks - 150
Indigo Girls - 147
Toby Keith - 115
Billy Joel - 114

Just missing out on triple digits is Brad Paisley with 95 songs. I tend to find an artist every couple of months that I've always kind of neglected and I'll go out and get their whole discography if I can and just listen to that for a month or two; it's how I got so heavily into Queen and Billy Joel. I think Dylan or The Stones might be next.

If we were doing who the most played artists in my library are, it goes something like:

Billy Joel - 1494
Indigo Girls - 1304
Queen - 1119
Brad Paisley - 877
Garth Brooks - 850
Glee Cast - 795
Toby Keith - 652
Paramore - 552
Taylor Swift - 545
Great Big Sea - 490

I don't think that's so far-fetched. I have 122 Descendents songs in my library including the Somery compilation.

Interesting stuff everyone.
This doesn't work for me... explain in more detail I am apparently out of touch with technology.

Wasn't trying to be a jerk about it, I'm just bad at math it seems. Carry on, nothing to see here.

After doing a lot of DLing recently I decided to look at some stats from itunes. I had posted in this thread but it was stats in my ipod. I have considerably more music in my library than on my ipod. Due to space limitations I often change up what I have on my touch. Too much lossless, not enough space.

I did it by total number of hours, not songs.

Band - Songs - Hours of music - GB

Nine Inch Nails - 742 - 2.3 Days - 15.22GB (includes Social Network score)

Pink Floyd - 236 - 19.8hrs - 5.30GB

George Carlin - 187 - 18.8hrs - 1.44GB

Led Zeppelin - 176 - 18.5hrs - 5.59GB

Metallica - 157 - 16hrs - 3.66GB

Korn - 178 - 12.3hrs - 3.93GB

Deadmau5 - 114 - 12.1hrs - 1.4GB (I haven't had this long, maybe listened to half of it)

Eminem - 181 - 11.6hrs - 1.50GB (incl D12)

Beethoven - 61 - 11.2hrs - 643mb

Eric Clapton - 127 - 10.2hrs - 1.82GB (solo, Cream, Derek and the Dominoes)

David Bowie - 152 - 10hrs - 1.37GB

The Beatles - 148 - 7.2hrs - 1.29GB

The White Stripes - 131 - 7hrs - 1.51GB

Tool
- 63 - 6.6hrs - 1.68GB

And I'm well aware I might be the only person who cares. It was just interesting for me to look at it and good a place as any to catalog it here.

Also, at the moment my top 5 in terms of hours on the ipod touch:

NIN - 18.4hrs
Zep - 15.2hrs
Floyd - 10.3hrs
Bowie - 10hrs
Metallica - 8.2hrs

Those can shift. I'll add/remove live stuff or certain albums or even certain artists depending on my mood.

Can someone tell my chimpish brain how to exactly analyze my music compilation so I can post how many Bruce Springsteen songs I listen to, even though we all know I am a "Dancing in the Dark" maniac???

Devon Townsend Solo 133 (+19 SYL)
Jimi Hendrix 91
Coheed & Cambria 79

I just realized how rare it is that I listen to more than one album from a single artist. I'm a one-album-stander.

What do I listen to after Purple Rain and Moving Pictures? How should I get into XTC?

On your ipod touch just scroll to artist then all songs and scroll to the bottom. It'll say how many songs.

For the songs-hours-GB go into itunes and highlight all the songs by clicking on the first one, scrolling to the last one and hitting shift and clicking.
