Season 1 of Heroes is awesome. Season 2 is tolerable. Anything after should be avoided like the plague.
It's a shame, since Season 1 was really well done.

Yeah I was going to say, if you're enjoying Heroes, you must only be on season one. Much like Prison Break, they should have quit while they were ahead. Both shows became utterly horrible after the first seasons.

Prison Break hooked me like meth. That first season was fantastic. The second, not so good. Almost made it through season 3. Now that it is on Netflix I should wrap it up.
Also, don't know if anyone has been watching Breakout Kings, but they had Robert Knepper on last week and he reprised his role as Theodore 'T-bag' Bagwell. It was pretty good (as is Breakout Kings, actually).

Prison Break was good in season 1, fantastic. Season 2 was decent, was cool to watch them try to get away. But season 3 was same-old-same-old and I quit after that. I didn't watch any of season 4.

I loved Prison Break all the way through, but Heroes I have stalled on season 3, about 4 times now and still haven't got all the way through it.

I loved season 1. Hated season 2. But actually got back into it and enjoyed the rest right up until the end.

Make sure you guys check your email that you registered Netflix with. Thanks to their system wide outage the other night, they are offering a credit to your account if you click the link in the email. Its not automatically added, you have to do some work to get the 25 cents back. You have until the 30th (Wednesday) to do so.

1 out of every 10 lol's I post do I actually lol. The 25c refund was one of them. With that being said, I guess 1 night of 30 on a $8 monthly charge (??) is fair.
I never see a credit from other services when it goes down temporarily.

Wow, their selection is horrid. TV wise, Arrested Development, Prison Break, Better Off Ted? Um, what year is this? Popular movies, Date Night and National Security? Wha?
Am I missing something? Why would anyone pay anything for this?
|
Because its so cheap its sick? Because it will continue to improve and offer more movies?

I'm sure you all got the email, but another reason Netflix is fantastic:
"Starting today, watching movies & TV shows in Canada will use 2/3 less data on average with minimal impact to video quality. For example, watching 30 hours of Netflix movies & TV shows will only use 9 GB of data, well below most Canadian ISP data caps. Previously, 30 hours from Netflix typically used 31 GB.
Why the change? We know that many of our Canadian members have monthly Internet data caps. This new default account setting will significantly reduce the amount of data Netflix delivers to you each month."
Your move Bell, Rogers and Telus...I can't help but feel that's a shot across the bow.

Watched a couple of episodes of mad men tonight and the picture quality was crap... barely watchable. Hopefully it was just my internet connection and nothing to do with this.

I have been watching Mad Men at home and the pitcure quality has been great. And I have even disabled HD through the web site settings. The SD-High comes through great on my TV, although compared to many, might be a tad on the small size (40 or 42").
I can't test it at the moment to see if those recent changes have made a difference as I am out of the country, but I would initially look at your internet connection. What device are you using to view? On the PS3 if I hit "display" on the remote it will show me the quality that is coming through (SD Low, SD High, etc.).

Yeah I had the same issue. I was watching Mad Men and the picture quality wasn't HD even though my connection was great and I had watched it in HD prior.
My 1 month trial just ended so I don't think I'll be renewing my subscription. I was a little disappointing with the lack of movies and TV shows compared to the American one. It was still good to catch up on old movies/TV shows though.

I've been enjoying Netflix since I signed up in December, But I'm beginning to find that I have been blowing through their quality selection much faster than they are replenishing it. Its been worth it up til date, but i'm starting to think I might take a break from Netflix for awhile and allow their selection to rejuvenate itself.
It has been totally worth it for Weeds, Community, and all the old Nickelodeon shows I loved.
