The guy that owns Choklat makes Callebaut look like a saint.

Trust me, the real juicy stuff isn't being reported in the news. This man's actions before and after the receivership are so unethical, it's crazy. For those interested, download and read the court judgement when it becomes available. He deserves worse than he's getting.

If I'm not mistaken, this greasy twerp received one hell of a government grant to expand his business in the first place. I remember the contreversy about it when I was a kid.

His sense of entitlement is even more strange when you consider it was paid for by tax dollars.

How many millionaires do you know?

I know zero.

On the whole I don't know many people but I know three people who are millionaires. I don't think it's that uncommon anymore.

A related article before judgment on the contempt application was rendered: http://www.calgaryherald.com/busines...367/story.html

Quote:
Sky Wensel, lawyer for the numbered company which purchased Chocolaterie Bernard Callebaut from receivership, said that not only did Callebaut remove items but delayed returning some moulds until after the lucrative Valentine’s Day season.

“There was a lot of property taken to start a competitive business,” he said, adding that Callebaut didn’t properly store the chocolate he removed. “The two biggest seasons for confection chocolate are Christmas and Valentine’s.

“Everything was done to capitalize on those two seasons. And it was all done to the detriment of (the new owners) and the (Callebaut) dealers.”

http://www.calgaryherald.com/life/Ch...727/story.html

Callebaut announced plans to build a new factory in downtown Calgary. Building a new facility downtown doesn't sound like the most economical move right now given the cost of construction and all. Did he learn his lesson from the last time his grand plans proved to be too big and expensive to succeed?

And you have access to the financial statements of all the people you know? Because I can guarantee you many of the people who are millionaires

1) Don't have a flashy "Trump" lifestyle, but have regular cars/houses
2) Don't go around telling people they're millionaires.

A million bucks isn't what it used to be. It's more "Comfortable Retirement" than "Daddy Warbucks"
