London Drugs sells Flake, and Big Turks are available everywhere (assuming you're in Calgary).

Remember Gator Gum?
That stuff was awesome. The flavour only lasted for about 1 minute, but it was a glorious 1 minute.

Yeah, I was about 20 before I ever heard them called licorice babies. Kind of like Brazil nuts...
You can usually find them at Costco.

We always called them licorice mummies. God, they were so good when they were fresh.

Forgot about this stuff, loved it!
Tostitos used to make a great chip called Cream cheese and salsa they stopped selling. Also found some pepsi Throwback after Christmas and haven't been able to find it since, but I looked it up and it seems they'll add it full time.

I bought some at Safeway this past weekend. They had it in with the dairy and other chilled juices and soda's in the bottle version. The Airdrie Safeway had the cases of them a couple of weeks ago.

The best part about that was when they first started those contests, their bags had clear windows in them, so you could shake the bags around until the game card went in front of the window and you could see whether it was a winner. If you did it right, you could keep getting free chips over and over.

The best licorice babies (and yes, I have heard the other name used too - mostly by older people) are at the Heritage Park candy store, though they also have them at a candy store in Bragg Creek, and I think at the Farmer's Market. I've learned enough about dollar stores that I'd never eat anything purchased there.

That "other name", was a name that was really used back in the depression era. I saw a box of them at an antique flea market before.
