I don't understand why you would have an issue with gay people adopting a child, care to elaborate?

Right after I tell him he destroyed the holy institution of marriage by having an out-of-wedlock son.

Just wanted to point out this silly comment, since the other silly comments have been addressed by others.
From what you can tell? What experience do you have that is so vast that you can tell gay people don't want to get married as much as straight people? They don't live a long-term monogamous lifestyle? WHy do you say that?
Maybe they don't seem focused on getting married because, until recently, that option wasn't even fathomed by a gay couple, getting married wasn't available to them.
It comes across that the only reason you think this issue isn't a big deal to us, is because gay people don't want to get married. If you thought that the overwhelming majority of gay couples wanted to get married, would you now be against it?

Comparing segregation of blacks in every facet of society to gays current right to enter into a heterosexual contract is going a bit far.
Gay people have never had it as bad a African Americans....

Maybe the kid will have an issue with that once he/she grows up and realizes that mommy and daddy are daddy and daddy? I hear shrinks are pretty pricey in North America...

A senior member of that group once said that all gays should be exported. Some fact finding mission you went on mikey.

Seriously, that one incident is a little weird. That child had two dads, not once dad and one mom. But if we are going to ban gay people from having kids because of one dumb parent, then straight parents shouldn't be able to adopt kids either.
Just stupid arguments.

Gays have had it pretty god damn bad. Arguing about the level of the hate doesn't change that fact. The bigotry is what his point was, and a good point.

What incident? I was speaking in general terms. You really don't think there won't be a significant number of kids who WILL have a problem with who raised them? Are you gonna tell them they're stupid because of how they feel? Good on you I guess...
I realize that the whole deal with being raised by someone who's not your biological parents is tough as it is, but I think this will make it even harder for a significant number of kids...

I believe if a child has loving parents, no matter the combination of sexes, who raise them in a safe loving home... no... they won't give a crap. It will be bigotry from the outside world that makes them question it.

Homophobic nonsense. Statements such as these are a much better indication of who shouldn't be raising children in my opinion. I think gay people are generally more wise and compassionate compared to the greater population due to what they've been through. Which probably makes them better parents on average.
