I miss watching my ex wife eating olestra chips, she could never resist the idea of a chip you could eat with no calories, but then 5 minutes after eating she would run screaming to the can. 'get out of my way, get out of my way, get out of my effing way'

Am I the only one who has noticed a fair number of the posts in this thread are of stuff that is still available in one form or another? Be it completely available or to a lesser extent only available in the states.
Almost like it should be "Foods that you no longer care to look for and buy but still miss" for the thread title.

There's all kinds of stuff from the UK I miss and could track down if I wanted to spend the time and money on it, but there is something truely pathetic about immigrant Brits trying desperatly to recreate home in Canada. I am always tempted to tell them to piss off back to the UK if they hate it here so much,

Maybe it's been mentioned, maybe it hasn't.
O'Reilly's (?) sour cream and onion chips. Super thick and totally coated in flavoring.

There are so many foods I miss from Canada I can't even count. But there's one that I don't think you can get anymore- Sour Cream n Onion Rings- can't remember who made them. Then there are Hostess Potato Chips that I can never seem to find, but apparently they are available.

You can still get these in certain Wal-mart McDicks. I, myself, have eaten one in Whitehorse, Yukon and in Bedford, Nova Scotia within the past year. Rumour has it they are purchased in bulk from McChina.

Hahaha, Mini Sips!! Our hockey coach used to give them to us after games. "Hey kid, you just skated you ass off for an hour, here's a tiny bag of juice" I loved those things but you had to drink 4 of them to do any sort of quenching.

Mine is more general then specific but I miss foods with SUGAR in them. Not Aspartame, not sorbitol, not sucralose, not acesulfame-potassium or all the other names for that fake sweetner. Real sugar.
I cannot count the number of foods and drinks I can no longer have because of this switch to fake sugar. And most packages don't even have it marked as artificial sweetner anymore since its become so commonplace. I haven't had chewing gum in about 5 or 6 years since all of the stuff on the market now (including most gumballs) have some sort of artificial sweetner in it. Even things like granola bars or fruit snacks made for kids have it in them without marking it on the label as having artifical sweetner.

Whichever ######bag screwed with Wrigleys doublemint gum, both the package and the recipe got screwed a year or so ago, may the cubs never win a penant.

Trader Joe's is notorious for purchasing a lot of something really fantastic, getting you hooked on it, then it disappears forever. Exactly once they had these amazing nori strips that were coated in wasabi tempura. I went back the next day for more, and they were gone, never to be seen again. I almost cried.

To the guy who said the Big Xtra still exists, what those Wal-Mart's actually do is dress a Quarter Pounder like a Big Xtra. The actual Big Xtra's and the salt that came with them are long gone as far as I know. Loved that burger...
Wish they brought back the McDeal too. McDonalds is a bit too expensive these days compared to the past.

Was going to post this. What is the facebook group? I must join and help the cause.
