Awesome hit.
He was ready to drop the gloves right after also.
From what ive been hearing Breen has been solid this year down in Abbotsford. Good to see.

Conboy...
That name is familiar....., didn't he hurt one of our players with a dirty hit earlier in the year?
Either way, pretty lame that he goes after Breen, then as soon as Breen gets the upper hand, he goes for the single leg take down. It's a hockey fight you dooouche.

Bennetts numbers would of been much better, imo, if he played the whole year in Vancouver.
37 games with Portland - 12 goals, 9 assists.
35 games with Vancouver - 25 goals, 29 assists.

For those wondering where Howse and Bennett (and Erixon) could fit in next year, a quick list of who's still under contract next year.
F: McMillan, Nemisz, Cameron, Wahl, Patterson, Grantham, Meyer and 5 RFAs
D: Negrin, Brodie, Seabrook, Breen and 3 RFAs
G: 2 RFAs

Out of this list, I can see Chucko, Carpentier, Meyers and Keetley gone. Howse and Bennett slide into the forward list, perhaps Marvin slides in if he impresses, Erixon added to the back end (if he doesn't make the Flames next year), and Ortio (hopefully) brought over to back up Irving.

Based on the team's successes with Giordano and Breen, it wouldn't surprise me to see more free agents brought in from the Ontario League to bolster holes in the line-up.

NCAA Division I Championship brackets are out.
Bill Arnold and Boston College open up against Colorado College on Friday, with the semi-finals going Saturday.
Nick Larson and Notre Dame open up against Merrimack on Saturday, with the semi-finals going Sunday.
The Frozen Four itself takes place the weekend of April 7.

Yeah, I could see that. Howse already has an entry level contract though, so technically he's already counting against our 50 contract limit, I think.

No, he doesn't count until he turns pro. Speaking of the 50 contract limit, there will probably be some attrition from the Flames, which should open some more spots.
Here's the list. Notice that Kronwall still counts this year.

Back in 2009, I would have had a hard time believing Adam Cracknell has made it to the NHL, but a healthy Kris Chucko can't.
Really too bad he has lost 2 years of development to injuries. At 25 years, seems unlikely he gets another deal from the Flames, especially with Sutter gone. Feaster has no vested interest in retaining him
