In the 80's you could get Choclairs.

In the 2000's you could only listen to the rapper Choclair. Proof that the 80's was superior.

Besides that, I miss McDonalds Pizza, and orange NERDS candy. You can still get orange colored NERDS now, but I liked them way better when they were packaged with the cherry flavor. The orange ones now don't taste like the orange ones back then.

Also, who remembers Gatorgum? It was Gatorade, in a gum! And it literally lasted maybe 30 seconds before it ran out of juice. Strangely, that is how my ex-gf describes me.

Trix cereal. I can't find it in Canada.

Also, Tahiti Treat was my favorite drink growing up. I miss that stuff.

You can still get the McRib, you just have to wait for it to come back. They only do it for a limited time to get people into their stores.

Same with the Wendy's Bacon Mushroom Melt. It comes back once a year and that forces, yes, forces me to go out and buy one.

I loved those things.

Wig Wags apparently were made by Hershey and were discontinued in Canada in the early 80s, but in the UK and Australia, Cadbury's makes a product called Curly Wurly, which is pretty much the same thing.

Even better, they're actually only about half the weight of other chocolate bars, so they're also half the price.

Cadbury's needs to sell them in Canada.

Also, on the candy front: Does anyone remember Bar 6? It was like a Kit Kat, but instead of 4 long pieces horizontally, it was 6 shorter pieces vertically (if chocolate bars can be horizontal and vertical).

Not food but Crystal Pepsi.

Also, not sure if they're still avail bu those little fake chocolate cigarettes. They were sold with the names of major cities on them (London, NY, Paris etc) and had really thin paper on the little smoke like things of chocolate.

Does anybody remember Cheez Willikers? They were a weird quasi-cheeto that had the most uniquely delicious chemical cheez taste. They were the bomb. +donair subs at Subway. That was before I was brave enough to eat at weird donair shops though.

You know what else I miss from Tim's? Pie. Their chocolate cream pie was amazing.

I think it was a casualty of moving to the "par-baked" system they use now.

I was going through some childhood memoralbilia two weekends ago - found 2 unopened packs of Gatorgum and my favorite Dinky Car in an old lunchbox.

Talk about memory lane........good times.

Subway had a chicken fajita sub sometime around '94 that was outstanding. Subway also had a taco beef sub around '99 that was an unholy mess, but delicious.

Guess I have a thing for Mexican themed subs.
