HD's Very sad news.

Brutal news, Life doesn't fair sometimes. Stay strong for the family you have...you'll all need it. One way to help the pain is to look around the world at all the other tragedy's happening and realize it could be worst.

My wife is currently 28 wks pregnant and we both feel the love and connection to the little one allready. I feel horrible for your loss and am extremely saddened by this right now.

Really sorry to hear that. I remember when I was around 12 or 13, my mom was pregnant with a boy. I have a sister 2 years younger than me and was excited to finally have a brother. Unfortunately, she miscarried about a month before he was due. I remember how much of an effect that had on me, and I can't even imagine how hard it was for my parents. Take care and stay strong, I know it can't be easy.

That is awful news. The outpouring of affection and sympathy here is demonstrative of how much this, and you, have touched all of us. You have been through this before so I know, as unfair as it is that you have to, you and your family and friends can get through this again.

Be strong for your wife and your son. Take your strength from watching him innocently play and find joy in the smallest things. Take a bit of that joy for yourself and be thankful for what is and that joy will, eventually, overcome the shadow of your sorrow for what could have been. The sun will shine again, you need to be able to see it when it does. My thoughts are with you.

My goodness .... that is horrible. I cant imagine the pain. I know that after I had my first child, I looked at everything in life in a different way. Losing that is a pain that I cant even comprehend.

I've said a prayer for your family. I know not everyone is religious, but I am. A prayer cant do any harm in my opinion.

I'm truly sorry for your loss and can completely empathize with you.

My wife has had three miscarriages, all totally devastating and heartbreaking. However, although it won't seem like it right now, you can move on and have another successful birth. We now have five wonderful children. (It was four the last time I wrote in this thread.) We could have given up after any of the miscarriages but we didn't and luckily for us that was the case. To be without my two daughters and latest son is simply unthinkable.

I truly hope that you try again, Mike, and have success. The gap between my eldest sons is almost five years and those two are the best of friends. The siblings, although they have their spats, love having other siblings and being in a large family. It's pretty special.

My thoughts are with you and your wife. Good luck in the future.

So sad, Mike. Do lean on your 4 year old, they are the glue that kept my wife and I afloat when we lost one. We now have two beautiful kids, had a daughter about 2 years after we lost ours. It gets better, I promise.

That is sad news indeed. I feel for you and your family though I can't truly imagine the pain you are going through. Complications during my daughters birth when we nearly lost her was bad enough.

I have some very good friends who went through numerous miscarriages, some late and some early. It was very difficult for them to say the least. The eventual arrival of their triplets was such a joy for everyone.

I hope everything works out well for you.

I am truly sorry to hear this news HD. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.

Your first post struck very close to home for me as my boy Spencer was born at 36 weeks (Nov 2008) with an emergency C section due to a placental abruption. At the time I could not imagine what you were going through, it shook me very hard the brief moment I tried to put myself in your shoes.

Stay strong Mike and let the light that is your son be your guide in these dark of darkest days.
