Jobing.com arena is closer to a 30 minute drive from downtown Phoenix and longer if there is any sort of traffic. Not a chance you could make that drive in 10 mins... ever.

Agreed. To re-hash, the biggest mistake the franchise made after arrival was killing the Los Arcos arena project in Scottsdale.
It takes approximately 1 hour on the freeway in very light traffic to arrive at Jobing.com from our place in North Scottsdale.

I think the comment from the Mayor gives everyone a time frame. She said two weeks and they may be looking for a minor league team. The suggestions that people have made about announcements being made at the end of the season for the Coyotes seem right to me.

To use a classic poker line, it's 50/50 - either they'll move or they won't.

They are done in Phoenix. I do think they will end up in the Peg but even if they don't they will still not be in Phoenix next year. Hockey in the desert was a stupid idea anyhow.

The people of Scottsdale killed the Los Arcos deal.
and I live at Scottsdale Rd and 101 - Takes me 25-30 minutes to get to Jobing.com arena. I work 5 minutes south of the Job at I-10 and 101 and do the drive daily..
Saying 1 hour, is pure bull... It really doesn't matter where the team is.. we'd still be in the same situation now with the prior Moyes/Gretzky ownership. 13,000+ guaranteed everynight before this crap happened.

Meanwhile Atlanta says they have two potential buyers who would keep the team in Atlanta.

For whatever it's worth, I'm hearing that the Coyotes bonds will sell middle of next week and the deal will close shortly after.

Which will be followed by Goldwater filing the lawsuit and tying it up in court forever. Does the NHL really want to go through that nightmare to save a team that is a money pit?

Ah, so you live in Scottsdale? So you have no skin in this then.
I can see why you as a fan dont care how they get it done. (public or private money)

I don't think anyone cares about the lawsuit and no, the money will not be tied up.

I lived and work in the west valley and have probably spent over 6-7000 in Glendale this year alone.. I have no skin?
It's narrow minded to believe that by the team leaving helps Glendale.. are you nuts???? It's a no win for Glendale but the loss is far less if the team stays.

Actually it will. They have a very solid case and I don't see how they can lose. You wishing there won't be a big legal battle is not going to change that.

Ok... but the bond money will still be released and the deal will close. Which is what I'm trying to say.
Goldwater had a revenue of $2.3 million last year.. They're going against a monster with an already VERY weak argument. This is all face time for them
