The names of celebrities, politicians and other famous people continued to be an influence with registrations including 64 boys named Lincoln; 37 named Nixon; 10 named Lennon; four named Hendrix; three each named Clinton, Elvis and Jagger; and one each for Thatcher, Santana and McCartney. For girls, Danica was registered 44 times; Angelina 26; and Charlize 11. There were five girls named Brittany and one named Palin. There were also 44 girls and four boys who shared the name Harper.
Okay, seriously... I'm not a fan of babies or anything, and I hate the emphasis today's parents put on naming their kids certain ways in the hopes that they will be the next set of universal heroes or legendary warriors...
...but being called Apollo, Zeus or Maximus will no doubt single-handedly get these kids laid when they turn 18. Or, atleast brilliant endeavours into the always interesting world of the porn industry.

I freaking hate when people try to give their babies "Unique" names by coming up with ridiculous spellings.
1) unless you are an actor, athlete, or singer, you don't need a unique name, it just opens you up to criticism
2) Fact: Girls with stupidly misspelled names (especially replacing vowels, with y's, i's or some other stupid replacement) are 1000% more likely to be strippers!

My kid is strange in his kindergarten class as he's one of the few with a "normal" name (David). I really don't get the "my kid needs a uniquely (stupidly) spelled name to stand out" thing. I'm sure they'll thank you later in life for that.
