Default MTV Musical March Madness
MTV is doing their own version of March Madness, ranking bands and pitting them against each other in a voting contest for us the fans. Thought it might be cool to make a thread and track the competition. So far I am very sad that Sleigh Bells will be going out first round with an unlucky match up against Linkin "All songs sound the same" Park.

And Pearl Jam at 8th seed really does make this competition questionable.. but it will still be fun to track.

There are a lot of cool interview videos with the bands.

It's good to see they've kept things current by including timeless acts like Yellowcard, Avril Lavigne, Panic! at the Disco, Train, Linkin Park, Cobra Starship, Tokio Hotel, Paramore, Hinder, Disturbed.

so to put this contest into the context of a pro-hockey game - the general feeling seems to be that we have the same interest in the outcome of this thing as we would for a game between the Thrashers and the Panthers on a tuesday night in mid-February....
