Teabaggers piling on:
'Tea party' group dissatisfied with answers on Coyotes deal
http://www.azcentral.com/community/g...otes-deal.html
Four Tea Party members are anticipated to attend Tuesday's community meeting, which is capped at 50 residents and has a waiting list. On Friday, McHugh said the mayor "has graciously invited us to continue in open dialogue directly with her if we have any questions or concerns regarding any matters involving the use of taxpayer monies. We will be utilizing direct dialogue with Mayor Scruggs vs. 'protesting' which would be counter-productive now that Mayor Scruggs is engaging us in direct dialogue."

Not much news lately, despite everyone thinking we would have a resolution last week. This will drag on.
Glendale residents speak up on casino, Phoenix Coyotes deal http://www.azcentral.com/community/g...otes-deal.html
NHL keeps Winnipeg waiting
http://www.theglobeandmail.com/sport...rticle1939328/
Where else could you get someone to pay you $197-million (all currency U.S.) to buy a hockey team for $170-million?
So just when will the NHL say enough is enough and make the call to the people in Winnipeg who have their cheque book open? Try the day after the Coyotes are eliminated from the NHL playoffs.
Goldwater a tough customer
Zealots will not back down from anyone

Not that i don't mind but most of this was from last week, nothing new other than TSN's Jet-o-meter doubled today.

Well obviously Vancouver can't support a team either. Move 'em!

Amazing that they would sell so few seats to see Wayne Gretzky in his prime in a playoff game. The sports fan has changed so much from the 80s and 90s.
The Flames had 4,000 empty seats for a playoff game as recently as 1996:

Brent Sutter scored in it too (and checking hockeydb, it looks like it was his final career playoff goal).

Glendale seeks new investors for Phoenix Coyotes deal
http://www.azcentral.com/community/g...otes-deal.html
The city is receiving help in finding bond buyers from the National Hockey League, team buyer Matthew Hulsizer and bond underwriter J.P. Morgan Securities, said John Breslow, a longtime Coyotes minority investor and member of team buyer Matthew Hulsizer's ownership group.
"They're out aggressively trying to sell the bonds," Breslow said. "The goal is to find a lower rate and to have a payment (for the city) that is lower."
Goldwater President Darcy Olsen maintains the watchdog is looking out for taxpayers and aiming to keep the city from making an illegal government subsidy to a private business.
On Sunday, Olsen offered perhaps the strongest indication yet of a coming lawsuit.
She told Brahm Resnik in an interview on 12News, a partner of The Arizona Republic, that there was a "99 percent" likelihood the institute would sue.
Some have speculated the city could renegotiate points of the deal with Hulsizer. Bettman denied such reports last week. It further seems unlikely the deal would be reworked, at least this week, as the city's top two negotiators - City Manager Ed Beasley and City Attorney Craig Tindall - are on vacation. City spokeswoman Julie Frisoni is also off this week. The NHL's Daly said that won't hamper the deal.
"Everyone involved in this process has always made themselves available 24/7 on an as-needed basis," he said
Bettman, owners don’t like to budge
http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/spe...-to-budge.html
The NHL may have underestimated Goldwater, but the league and its fixers are wide awake now. Goldwater, and the rest of us pulling for the Coyotes to end up in Winnipeg, would do well not to underestimate Bettman and his owners.
Make no mistake, the NHL will decide where its franchises are located.
There's no lobbying to be done by True North.
They understand that if they're to gain entrance into the NHL, it will be by invitation only

True North still focused on Phoenix
http://www.theglobeandmail.com/sport...rticle1942022/
Multiple sources say there is much movement behind the scenes involving the Coyotes and the Atlanta Thrashers, the team considered most likely to be bought by True North if it cannot land the Coyotes. But no one was willing to predict how the Glendale bond sale is going. Sources connected to the deal said they are “cautiously optimistic” the bonds will be sold.

Is there a Twitter to follow that gives un-biased reporting on this situation? Or is it like finding a needle in a haystack?

So what is the likely path for things to take now that they've gone to this step?
