I think you go to a deserted island that no one else can see. And food drops from the sky, but you can also get caught up with other people called 'The Others.' There is a leader there named Ben and an invisible leader named Jacob. And if you come back to earth they summon you back to the island because you shouldn't have left in the first place..

People who couldn't walk before can walk, but women can't get pregnant anymore. No more babies on the island.

If there's a heaven and a judgement, I believe that you die, you end up in front of a bored looking god who holds his hand out and orders you to pull his finger.

If you've been good then nothing happens and you pass through the gates to a land of milk, hot milfs and puppies.

If you've been bad you're incinerated by celestial bowl gas created by a gods breakfeast of a breakfeast burrito so mighty that gods microwave cannot fully heat it.

I want a large drawing tablet setup in a field in front of a 747 engine, then on the count of three my body is throw through the engine and spit out on the table.

That tablet is then framed and goes on a museum tour where people will pay $20.00 each to see my corpse art.

Not me, I hope people will use my corpse for pranks and hijinks. Like while I'm lying in the coffin, someone will play my pre-recorded voice as I yell out that I want brains. Then pulleys and strings will rise me out of the coffin as I stumble toward everyone.

I think whatever it is that makes me "me", as a person, will be gone. The energy that sustains my existence will still exist and transfer somewhere else...where that is, I have no idea. But "I" will be gone.

In the not too distant future, nanotechnology should keep us living for a looooong time. We just have to live long enough until it's an affordable treatment. Not long ago it cost a half billion dollars to map the human genome, now you and I can get it done for less then a quarter of a million dollars. The law of accelerating returns tells us that if we can hang in long enough we should be able to add decades of quality life to our lifespan for a very minimal amount of money.

Seriously, I have given death considerable thought due to all the Cancer deaths with in my family unit and with friends. Death is not something I fear but it has become a motivation for me to live life to it's fullest. I travel more and do things I might have put off until retirement. I don't take friends and family members for granted and I tell them I love and appreciate them often.

The road to my grave is going to be a rocky one filled with many joys and dissapointments but it's going to be one hell of a ride. I don't want any regrets when my time comes.

People who believe in the miracle of God are hardly 'crazy'.

I grew up in a mostly Catholic family. After my grandfather (who wasn't religious in the least) passed away when I was 13, I got more involved in the church. Most of my hockey buddies were also Catholic, so Sunday mornings were actually something to look forward to. I also enjoyed the life stories that the priest would tell. However, I never really absorbed much more than that. As I got into High School, and quit minor hockey (personal reasons) I just sort of stopped going to church.

I had always been content in believing there was a heaven and hell, a reward or punishment for how I live my life. As I got older, I started having more and more questions. It was disturbing how the church and it's teaching left so many of questions up to a single universal answer, faith. As I discovered new influences in my life my questions only grew. I remember listening to 'The Fight Song' by Marilyn Manson and specifically the lyrics 'I'm not a slave to a God that doesn't exist'. Then I discovered one of the smartest, insightful, and most entertaining men I have ever listened to...George Carlin.

Carlin influenced me immensely, and continues to do so even in death. Although, while he was definitely an atheist, I still am not sure. I have to define myself as agnostic, because I truly don't know what is out there. I don't believe in ghosts, or angels and demons....but I just can't deny or confirm that there is a higher power.

I went through a very dark period in my life, and it was during that time that I was most afraid of death. It could have cured a lot of my problems in life at that time, but nothing scared me more than not existing. It's still very frightening to think of, and almost impossible to fathom. Equally hard to fathom is the Christian version of the afterlife, or reincarnation. Now that I have pulled myself from the darkness, I just don't think about those kinds of things as often...although they still trouble me. Especially when I listen to 'Seasons in the Sun'.

I really have hopes that there is life after death, but I have my doubts. And that is very frightening. One of the most frustrating things about life is that I will never truly know until I die. How can I prepare for something like that?

I want to be embalmed and kept on display in my family's home. I also want at least two of my relatives to talk to me like I'm still alive when they have company over. Seeming crazy is the least they could do for my poor, dead soul.

My biggest fear is that I'm not doing this. Living life to the fullest is a great concept but sometimes its hard not to get caught up in the day to day grind and realize a few years have passed without really getting out of that rut. But its true. You need to start living now, you can't wait until tomorrow or the perfect time or place to do something you want to do. There is never a perfect time. I think the most successful people are the ones who have the courage to keep that in mind and take the necessary steps they need to despite the fear of failure.

Seems hard to believe sometimes that we're just here to die doesn't it? Why is everything so complex? Mathematics, the wonders of science and nature and all that, what's the point if there isn't more to it. Doesn't make sense to me... but then neither does Heaven and Hell.
