The bracket is released in 20 minutes. Not to overlook the first round but... I hope to see the mountaineers as a 6-seed rather than a 7-seed as I think there will be a significant difference between the teams that get named a 2 seed over the 3 seeds. If they are a 7 seed then Duke better the #2 they play in round 2. Duke-WVU games are usually really entertaining.

Colorado gets left out of the tourney...yikes.

The right side of the bracket seems a lot easier then the left side. I thought Ohio State got a hard section compared to Pittsburgh and Kansas.

Tad Boyle has completely turned that program around...just like he did at Northern Colorado.

Now the fun begins.

I'm looking forward to the release of the NIT bracket. Looking forward to Wichita State getting a great first round home game like last year. I want to go again.

Wow is Pitt the 31 overall seed???

Not sure why they got the easiest bracket.

Florida by far the weakest #2 seed, BYU not nearly as good sans Davis and Wisconsin got beat by PSU yesterday.

Those all seem like easy wins if they even can get by the lower seeded teams they face to make it to play Pitt.

What is with the extra play-in games? and how can they have a play-in game for a seed higher than 16?

The 11 and 12 seeds are the last 4 teams to get an at-large bid. Hopefully having this scared off any one who wanted a 96 team field.

Sure but I think they have the hottest #5 and a tough 2nd round match if Old Dominion win their first game. Their second and 3rd round games won't be cakewalks. Having said that, I would probably have any of the other 2 or 3 seeds coming out of this regional.

Why the games today and tomorrow are called the first round is beyond me. Leave it as the play-in games because that is what they are. So now rounds 1 and 2 are rounds 2 and 3. Now I think I'll just say round of 64 or 32 to avoid confusion...

Anyways, winner of UAB and Clemson will play WVU and I can't really say I care who wins. They are a combined 1-9 against the top 50. I'm really happy with the draw WVU got because second round match is a rematch of last years elite eight game which was a great game. Having said that, this 4-5 match-up could just as easily be a 3-6 second round game. Either way... Go Mountaineers.

You should care because UAB would be a cake-walk and Clemson would have upset potential written all over them...

Neat fact...
WVU is 0-5 against RPI 50-100.
Clemson 0-5ish? against RPI top 50.

Wichita State beats Virginia Tech in Blacksburg this morning and will now play College of Charleston in New York. In the NIT Quarter Finals.

Not sure why this team couldn't play the way they have the last two games two weeks ago. We may have been talking about a sweet sixteen team. http://espn.go.com/ncb/boxscore?gameId=310790259

Great game on ESPN2 right now as Wichita State is leading College of Charleston for the right to go to New York for the NIT semifinals!

Cuonzo Martin to Tennessee

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=6264533

The folks in Knoxville had better prepare themselves for a completely different brand of basketball. Martin is all about defense and toughness. Great hire.

Matt Painter is talking to Missouri about their head coaching spot.

It would be quite the blow to Purdue, especially after losing J Johnson and E Moore.

This has sure been an exciting basketball tournament for Richmond! I watched the games on Friday at a bar pretty much on VCU campus. Couldn't get inside, but we had about 200 people on the roof top patio in just barely above freezing temperatures. Unreal what that team has done. We don't get much to boast about as far as Richmod sports go, this has been a pretty fun ride!
