I just started playing this in the last week, and one of the coolest moments happened when you enter Mexico first time... Jose Gonzalaz' Far Away being played as you gallop into Mexico for the first time was very cool.

This made shivers run down my spine. When I first got into Mexico it was the middle of the night with a thunderstorm (in game). It was so perfect. It also made me look into Jose Gonzalez's music. In Our Nature is a great album.
4 songs (without the background instrumental stuff) in the whole game, and they were all very appropriate and actually enhanced the experience greatly.

This thread is making me want to play the game again.
This is easily in the top 5 games I have ever played. The story, graphics, and gameplay is absolutely outstanding. I am in the West Elizabeth chapter on my second go around with the game and have been making different decisions than the first time. I will probably play it all through again. I just love the game.
I want to download the Undead Nightmare pack, but I can't decide if I want the all inclusive pack with all the DLC for 1600 points or just the Undead Nightmare pack itself for 800. Decisions decisions.

Yeah man that was great. I've never seen that in a game before. It really suited the atmosphere. I remember thinking "Is that Jose Gonzalez" when it happened. And its cool because it wasn't some cutscene, you were still controlling the game as it happened.
I just passed this game a couple of weeks ago, and I agree with all the praise, its amazing. Easily one of my favourites of the current generation. Actually probably my favourite since GTA IV. Not a lot of games appealed to me in the last couple years, but the Rockstar stuff has been great. Can't wait to see what they come up with next.

Yes, this is one of the best moments in any of video game. Just entering Mexico and you get this Epic song playing, seriously I was disarray it was so perfect.
Everyone I talk to say this is the best moment of the game.
There's a song that plays when you head north isn't there? I remember because I was super excited to hear it after the Mexico part ... and then a mother ******* bear took me off my horse and killed me, so I never got to hear much of the song.

Yeah the exact same thing happened to me. It was some countryish sounding song...seemed like I was going to have a relaxing ride back to the ranch and bam, a grizzly mauls me to death seconds after the song started. It was hilarious actually.

So, finally had a chance to sit down and play for a few hours last night. Killed many zombies, had a grand old time, got attacked by a zombie bear (f'n SOB).

Then dreamt of zombies.
A good night all around.

What a great game, and a great ending. There was several times throughout where I though the game was over.. and it just got better. I loved doing the missions after you take out Dutch.. just being a father. The ending for John Marsten was amazing, and the revenge by his son was awesome.
When John Marsten comes out of that barn with the 20+ guys pointing guns at him I thought... now how the hell do they figure my character survives this.. and wham.. you get gunned down. It was a great moment.
I cruised through the main story so still a poop load of other side missions, but great game,

As underwhelming as I found the multi-player, that single player story was freakin' awesome.
Really fun to play through. Sometimes long games become tedious, even if the levels are fun. This game was fun all the way through.
I lost interest half-way through Mexico but glad I stuck through it because the ending to this game is really good. I still suck at showdowns though...half the time I'm awesome, half the time I'm absolutely terrible.
May look at picking up the Undead Nightmare thing...I've heard it's pretty good.
I stopped playing around mid mexico too, just lost interest. The story to me was just too boring, grand theft horsies is ok. I prefer the modern elements of GTA though.

Not to mention the soundtrack fit perfectly for the game, it really set the mood for most scenes perfectly.

Hard to do a burnout on a Palomino eh?
