Sad. Robinson has lost both Grandparents and his mother in something like 3 weeks. Tough day for the Jayhawks to have to play.

Great win for Texas and don't forget about the Canadians, both playing great ball as freshmen. Joseph had a couple of big 3's to help pull away, and Thomas a monster as well with 5 blocks. If both stick around and don't opt for the draft, you could see three Canadian starters on Texas next year. Kabongo declared with Texas and is considered one the 15 best high school players.
Joseph won't be a first rounder if he leaves now, but in a year or two that's a possibility. Thompson would be a mid to late first rounder based on potential but will probably be a lottery pick if he stays another year. Texas needs to worry about Hamilton leaving early though.
I don't think Joseph leaves this year, but Thompson and Hamilton have tough choices to make.
I feel bad for Dogus Balbay. If the dude even had a floater or 10 ft jumper in his arsenal he would be an NBA prospect based on his D alone, but you can't have a point guard who can drive but only pass when he gets into the lane.
Bracket Busters has busted my Shockers. Despite a great season, they will no doubt have to win the Missouri Valley tournament to make the dance. It is something they are very capable of doing, but there are a couple of other very good teams in the Valley that could take them out. Tough loss on two free throws with .8 seconds left on a very controversial foul call.
Getting ready to watch my second Bracket Busters game in about half an hour as Montana takes on Long Beach State. Looking forward to watching the two big men Qvale and Selvig do their thing.

Evidently their thing is getting two quick fouls and sitting on the bench.

Overrated... That's hilarious. I am willing to bet a $100 donation to CP this is a final four team. Put your money where your mouth is?
Sure why not.
But I am not sure why you make that deal when it is so easy for them to lose a game especially with their youth and not making it to the Final Four really isn't a great way to determine if a team is worthy of being ranked #1 in February.
They aren't horrible but no way should they have been ranked ahead of Ohio State, Kansas, Duke or Pitt like many analysts were talking about.

The team was dominating every team they played. They were ranked ahead of KU because they shellacked em at Allen Fieldhouse. Pitt beat them by 2 when they were clearly not playing that good of basketball. They were getting better every game. I called the loss at Nebraska, because I know Nebraska is tough at home and UT was going to slip before the conference tourney. It was either there or at Baylor. When you are averaging double digit wins in conference and holding teams to under 38% FG% it's hard not to think they were playing the best basketball in the country.
Pitt's not a tourney team, they play too rough and there's more fouls called in the tourney than regular play. Kansas has no playmakers unless Selby is on. Ohio St., Duke and Texas are the best 3 teams in the country.
PS. I don't know about SDSU the above teams I've seen at least 10 times, but I have watched SDSU once in their loss. They could be better than I think, but I really just don't know.

San Diego State is excellent, but they lack depth. A very athletic team like Kansas would give them fits.
They will be fun to watch in the tournament.

Upset city all over the NCAA this year. Duke goes down to Va tech yesterday and Texas blows a 22 point lead and falls to Colorado after blowing a lead to Nebraska earlier. I dunno about that final 4 stuff for either of them at this point...it just seems like everything is just so wide open that anyone can get on a roll in that tourney and win it. Maybe a year where a lower seed wins the thing.
Im looking for "that" team to hitch to in the pick em brackets i will be part of and its hard to identify anyone. Though I have to say that BYU is impressive of late and just went in to SDSU and clobbered them. St Johns is another one that has been beating really good schools of late. the Big East is insane...but i always wonder if just trying to get in through that conference is enough to weaken all of them by the time the tourent rolls around.
All that said...this is the time of year where college Bball gets to be a lot of fun. Looks as even Gonzaga can still win their conference if they win out.
Really interesting development in BYU with the Brandon Davies. Especially right after they become the #3 team in the country and people are talking about them getting a top seed in the tournament. I heard they would've had top RPI in the country if they had won the game at New Mexico and won the Mountain West tournament. Anyways, they can't be as bad as they were against NM.
Crazy ending of the game with WVU and Louisville earlier today.
EDIT: Found a better video of the last minute...

I found this to be a very interesting behind the scenes look at a mock selection committee meeting. Would love to do one of these, but in the same breath I don't envy them over the next week with all of the bad teams on the bubble. They have to let some really mediocre teams in.

The Miami/NC game was ridiculous...NC had one lead the entire game and it came with 1/10th of a second left. Miami led by 16 with 7 1/2 minutes left and completely gagged it.
