I couldn't agree more. He more often than not ruins the game. Unfortunately he provides a service to the league that makes him invaluable.

If he spent even 1/4 as much time as he does yelling about sticks over the bench, equipment malfunctions or other general nonsense, he'd be able to see all the blatant penalties he misses. He's actually not a bad ref if you ignore all the crap he pulls on the side.

What's worse is he's completely unapproachable. You can't argue with him about the crap he pulls or he'll start chucking out 10 minute penalties. And with the low 30 PIM= 1 game suspension, 1 10 minute really hurts you.

But if people start quitting the league because of him, that starts costing HNA $$$. They'll soon come to realize it's more profitable to keep teams in the leaguge than that particular ref.

But this winter was such a cluster ###### with no one showing up, random spares coming out to games.

I propose a new rule.

It simply isn't fair, and yes, I'm pulling the 3-year-old girly comment "It's not fair"... that spares get a free ride.

It pisses me off that they take my ice time away and don't pay one cent to be on the ice, they don't bring beer, they don't bring anything.

So either spares should start bringing cash that goes towards a big team bash or they bring beer. No exceptions.

New rule for the summer is $20 or minimum 12 beers. But if we get some good players back, that are in shape, I think it will be more likely that we just won't have spares coming out unless we're really desperate (like less than 9 guys).

Yeah, it's one thing when we're desperate to call someone out last minute, but it's become 1/2 of our team on a nightly basis aren't regulars.
