Default Hockeyville jihad request(edit: made it to the top 5!)

The top ten finalists were announced last night and voting has started...

Just wanted to urge you to vote for my hometown of Mackenzie BC.
It's a small logging town in Northern BC that has had it's ups and downs almost becoming a ghost town when the local mill shut down.

Just click on the Allan Sheppard Arena link and vote (as many times as you want/can!

http://www.cbc.ca/sports/hockey/hock...en/index.shtml

Thanks!

I dunno. I've actually been to Bentley. The Monkey Top Saloon was a really good time....

I have spent a lot of time in Mackenzie for work. It is one depressed place.

Considering that area is probably infested with Oiler and Canuck jerseys, I've gotta decline the jihad.

I'm sorry - just can't risk having them show up on television. It's disappointing not to participate, but I gotta stick to be beliefs......

EDIT: I see that Brendan Morrison is the representative for the region. That changes everything! VOTED!

Sorry, but if this picture from the Kraft site keeps my vote in Nova Scotia for Antigonish.

Mackenize: one of the few places in Northern BC worse to be than Prince George. Needs all the help it can get. A night of Kevin Bieksa rippin around the town would be just what the doctor (who probably lives somewhere else) ordered.

Why the hell does Bentley have Canucks jerseys for their minor hockey teams?

I'd quit and play in Red Deer if someone forced that on me.

I hope you guys are voting more than once

Yah,Mackenzie can be a pretty depressing place. When I grew up there, it was the city that had the highest heroin use per capita in Canada.

A new arena might keep some of the younger kids focused on some positive things.

You can check out the Facebook page as well. I think there's close to 10,000 fans.
These guys thank you:

Haha. Thats awesome. Antigonish is my hometown and I actually recognize those 2 kids. My little brother got the stick that Al was using that day. An old wooden red/white Sherwood. Still has it in his room.

The cup has been to Antigonish 3 times in the past 3 years. Pretty impressive for a small town like that. Vote Antigonish for Kraft hockeyville.

Don't worry. No one in Mackenzie can afford jerseys.

Which is why they need to win this contest
I just want to beat the "Frenchies" that are on the list.
Vote at least 20 times.... only takes 2 seconds.
