Is someone allowed to eat a ballot?


Eating a ballot, not returning it or otherwise destroying or defacing it constitutes a serious breach of the Canada Elections Act. Or they could starve for 4 years in college and get a job with a high debt load so that a Bank will not even think of giving you a loan, even though you pay more in rent per month now than the monthly payments would be on a mortgage and you have a 18K deposit ready like the rest of us.

Some people need to look in a mirror and decide to change there own lives, until that happens throwing money at them to make us feel good is a lose-lose situation.

I read about this a while ago. There was some fringe lobby group that decided, as a protest, to eat their ballots. It obviously caused enough of a problem that the elections act was changed.
