Hello again everyone, below is our first true attempt at self producing and recording every part of a song and the song is Dire Straits, "Six Blade Knife."
Right now we are in the works of setting up a studio that will allow us to record live off the floor but for this particular song we got the drum beds down first then overdubed / redubbed all the bass, guitar and vocal parts, much like how we recorded our first album.
New original tracks are in the works as well and we hope to have more material up for your listening pleasure in the near future!!!
For now though enjoy Six Blade and let us know what you think all!!
How goes everyone, just giving you guys an update as to where we are at with recording We have just recently finished recording our newest cover song -- http://www.heavyjack.com/loveloveallyourlove.mp3 -- Which is part of our Original Copy concept where we aim to cover a popular (or not) cover song and put our own original take on it. New originals should be up in the near future as well as consistent editions to the Original Copy section of our website.
Hope you all enjoy and let us know what you think!!
Here is also a picture of the band and it is part of the "Original Copy Concept"
After a bit of a break, TV on the Radio are back in action. The genre-leaping New Yorkers will release their new album Nine Types of Light on Interscope this spring. Welcome back, guys.
I am so freaking excited because yesterday I bought tickets to see TV on the Radio in NYC at Radio City Music Hall. I saw them in Mac Hall the year before last and was blown away. Loved the live rendition of DLZ and Staring at the Sun.

If you like FTP check out 1,2,3 a band out of Pittsburgh....heard a song by them the other day "Riding Coach" and thought it was FTP. Can't find it on youtube though....hoping they also put out an album soon.

This special, one-time stream of the full album has ended. Check back at NPR Music on Wednesday, Mar. 2 to hear the entire album and individual songs, on demand, as part of our first listen series.
Rise Against is one case where I'm sort of sad they became popular. They were so much more awesome before they were writing music for larger audiences.

Easily the best album they've put together for a long time, maybe even the entire last decade. I thought they were finished, but a pretty strong album. I'm pleasantly surprised.
