Jersey Framing
Hey CP folk,
Just got back from the ultimate man Sports trip, and managed to get my Jersey sigend by the entire Flames team. I was wondering if anyone here has ever had a jersey framed. If so, where'd you go, what did it cost, and did they do a decent job.
Thanks.

You can get a Jersey Frame with a hinged glass door at Costco for $250. You can switch the jersey, turn it around or whatever. They look nice.

Yes, I have no input on your question per say.
But I demand to see pictures and hear a story.

I'll try to do pictures at some point but the jist of the story is that if anyone heard the guys from sportsnet, or Peter Maher or Mike Rogers talking about 6 guys going on a road trip to see the Flames play the Pens, Flyers, and Devils, as well as going to the Bengals/Steelers, Seahawks/Eagles, and Jets/Raiders games, that was me and 5 buddies (including CP's own StoneCole).
Anywho Peter Hanlon (VP of communications for the Flames) was kind enought to hook us up with passes to the Flames/Pens morning skate and we managed to get autographs from just about the entire team, including Christian Huselius.
We also managed meet and get pictures with:
Peter Maher, Roger Millions, Mike Rogers, Harry Neale, Kipper, Iggy, Sutter, Simon, Kobasew, and Regehr (all at the practice),
and
Pierre MaGuire, Gord Miller, Bill Dally (all at the Philly game) I also got to shake hands with Gretzky who we ran into in the concourse at the Philly game, I guess he was there to do some scouting.
Anyway, we left Calgary on the 2nd and got home on the 12th, and managed to hit three Flames and 3 NFL games in 3 cities in 10 days (five of the games were in the first 5 days) and also managed to spend a day in Atlantic City and 2 days in New York.
Hmm, perhaps the epicness of this trip deserves it's own thread.
Oh well, thanks for the info on the jersey framing.

Hey Wade thanks for the shoutout.
Don't mean to be a bother, but we met Daly, McGuire, and Miller at the game in NJ (and also saw Gretzky there). You'll have to forgive bring_back_shantz as I think he had too many wobbly pops.
Three of us also caught the Oilers/Islanders game at the Nassau Coliseum while the other three (including Wade) were checking out some parts of NYC.
All in all an awesome trip, and we ran into tons of Flames fans, particularilly in Pittsburgh, where many fans had travelled to watch the Flames/Penguins and Steelers/Bengals fans.
Aside from all the hockey celebs we met, we also saw the Flames very own Santa, and met the guy who won the trip to Pitt. (in that football/hockey relay at the Oilers game Nov. 24). We shared a sandwhich and brew with the contest winner at the famous Primanti Brothers in Pitt.

Wow, awesome road trip, greet and meet, photo op, and signing.
I had a custom wood frame with hinged glass door made to display jerseys. I had it built deep enough so as I could hang 3 or 4 behind each other on special hangers. I can rotate any of the jerseys to the front position depending on who's in favor at the time. Turned out pretty nice.

Naw, it wasn't too too bad.
The football tickets were expensive because we had to go throug brokers, so they were about $620 for each guy for all three games. But other than that it turned out to be a pretty good deal. It was ~ $1800 for tickets, hotel, car rental and flights, plus whatever we spent on food booze, food and souveniers, so it was pricey but not financially crippling.
I tell you what though, next year we're going somewhere hot.
California, or Florida, look out.
