You may not have liked Inception and it wasn't your thing and it was over hyped and yadda yadda yadda, but this is a thread for the Worst Movie of All Time. How is Inception the worst movie?? I'm actually genuinely curious. How does a movie that's nominated for Academy Awards the worst movie EVER in your mind.

The movies listed above from other people were almost all huge flops. At the box office and by critics. With brutal acting and lack of story and generally just a mess.

I'm not saying you have to like Inception, I don't care, but I have a hard time believing someone saying that Inception is the worst movie ever made.

Would love to read an explanation how Inception is worse than the latest offerings from Nicolas Cage in the last few years or something like Gigli.
The short answer - it just sucked.

The full explanation? Contrary to Flip's suggestion that I'm just trying to piss off someone that likes portugese "soccer", it was basically a wannabe 007 movie with a clever idea. Too bad that instead of turning that clever idea into a movie, they botched it by making action scenes out of people sleeping while hooked up to sleep apnea machines.

I'm sorry, I've seen people skiing down mountains while being shot at by hummers with turrets in Bond movies. I've seen cars flip off of bridges in other movies. The ONLY thing original about Inception was this whole "thought theft whilst sleeping" idea, which is completely ######ed. You have to befriend people in their sleep to steal their ideas? Why not just do it in real life?

The only shred of discomfort I have by hating this movie is that I know that Rubecube likes it. Sorry, Rube. This movie fu***ng sucked.

But I will give it minor props for the whole concept of the architecture of the dream. That was kinda cool. Unfortunately, those props are revoked by the wicked floating fight scene that was ended by one magical gunshot.

K, you clearly didn't like it and that's cool, but I still don't see how you can call it the worst movie ever made. Hell you even gave it credit for something.

The Worst movie ever made has ZERO redeemable qualities. Like NONE whatsoever.

We will never see eye to eye obviously, but I just wanted to see why Inception is worse than something like The Wicker Man or Bangkok Dangerous.

@4x4

But that's hardly a convincing argument that it is the worst movie of all time.

Unless you've only ever seen 20 movies I find it hard to believe you genuinely believe that is the worst movie you've ever seen.

Maybe if you really, really hated it I might buy it that you thought it was the worst movie of 2010. Again, only if you've only seen 3 movies all of last year.

EDIT: what Van said.

Justin Bieber may end up being the worst movie ever according to IMDB.

I for one have no problem with that.

If you enjoy bad movies being lambasted (including Battlefield Earth, The Room, Waterworld, and others) check out this guys reviews. Pretty funny, if you can stand obnoxious nerds.

Rotten Tomatoes disagrees. Its actually got the 2nd highest rating (The King's Speech) of all the movies currently playing...though the word's not out yet if that includes reviews from junior high school papers.

After renting Pirahna tonight, I would argue about the best bad movie.

However the redeeming scene involves Jerry O'connell.

Piranha was a lot of fun. So much unnecessary death.

Best part of that movie was its length. Quick 83 minutes, in and out. Didn't take itself seriously and didn't have a stupid cliche "mother piranha battle" or anything like that.

Fun movie.

Throwing out genres I absolutely despise - like juvenile comedy - I would go with Unbreakable and Cast Away in a tie for second as both were absolute drek in my mind. But Catwoman was the worst. I downloaded it for free and still felt like I paid too much.

I'm not a big fan of M.Night Shyamalan myself, finding most of his stuff unwatchable. However, I do seem to be in the minority about him. Of his movies, I'd likely pick The Village. For some reason, the whole movie just sort of grated at my nerves while watching it, and the 'surprise twist' ending sucked pretty badly, too.

"Shoot 'Em Up" with Paul Giamatti, worse f*king thing i've ever witnessed, although I could only last 20 minutes before contemplating turning it off or trying new hard drugs I'd never done before... that opening scene with the baby, WTF?

My bro's most hated is "Sleepy Hollow" but I've never seen it

According to the IMDb it's "Superbabies: Baby Geniuses 2" with Manos at #2. My vote is for the #5 on that list: "Night Train to Mundo Fine." Despicable in all possible ways. Glad to see "Plan 9 from Outer Space" is no longer on that list now that the world has come to recognize some of Ed Wood's peculiar genius. Sadly I can't say the same for Ray Dennis Steckler (big fan, here) whose "Incredibly Strange Creatures" is still on that list, and I think is brilliant in its way.

Kung pow was hilarious, and quite the technical achievment given the budget and how they seamlesly interlaced it with a 30 year old movie.
