Default $29 for a jar of Cheez-Whiz?

Would you pay it if you lived up north?

It'll thin the population up there if they can't afford Cheez Whiz . . . . . and why is that a bad thing?

If real cheese is subsidized then they can make a healthier cheez-whiz. That's what I do and it's cheaper, tastes better, and is healthier. That ain't no good thing?

No. Why would anyone pay for food that isn't actually food?

And while I am absolutely not an expert on the subsidization of food in the North, I am wholly supportive of the apparent logic behind the recent changes. If that means that cheddar remains affordable while "orange plastic cheese spread" is $30 a tin, no loss.

The question on whether or not the government should subsidize living in the North is an entirely other ball of wax, for sure.

I used to love it as a kid. One of my favourite snacks was Cheeze Whiz on Celery.

I don't think I've even tasted it again since I was about 10 though.

So I guess to answer your question ........ no ......... unless I was 10 ........... and wealthy.

One of my guilty pleasures when I lived in Canada. I have since weened mysefl of it because the crap they try and pass off in the USA as Cheez Whiz is unedible IMO.

So I may pay 29$ for it NOW and I dont live in Eskimoland.

$30 a bottle is a bargain when you consider all the enriched plutonium that must be in the stuff.

Six slices of toast, buttered and laden with Cheez Whiz . . . . . and Bugs Bunny cartoons.

The only way to start a Saturday morning right.

I'd be hard pressed to survive as an Eskimo obviously.

For me there are a few items where there are no substitutes...

Cheeze Whiz and Miracle Whip are two of them...

So yeah I probably would....

I was given a free jar of Cheez Whiz about a year ago. I had never tried it. I put some on a piece of toast and within three seconds, I spat the toast in the garbage, threw the Cheez Whiz in the garbage and started filling a glass of water to rid myself of that awful taste.

I'd buy it then cut it into grams to re-sell on the street.

Cheez-Whiz is a product from the processing of raw bitumen. . . or I might be talking out of my ass.

Thats a touch over dramatic..

I don't mind the stuff, I used to mix it into mash potatoes and on celery.
I had a jar in the fridge that I kept eating until I realized it had expired 2 years prior. It gets a slightly darker orange skin over it which protected the softer whiz below.
