Polanski and Dancevic are involved in qualifying for the ATP 250 Delray Beach tournament. Polanski has been eliminated, Dancevic has a final qualifying match against the Colombian Falla Monday to get into the draw.
Sportsnet One will not be showing the tournament in Acapulco. They will be showing the tournament in Dubai, which has a stronger field (Federer, Djokovic, Berdych etc...)
But if Raonic does well then who knows! They may switch it.

Raonic is up to #37! Man that looked like a great match. If the Heritage Classic hadn't been on I would have been all over it.
Spiteface, I don't think Raonic has said anything about being as good as Sampras, he said he's his favourite player and he wants to be like him. I get confidence from the kid but I'm not picking up arrogance myself. For a guy who just turned 19 two months ago he's on a different planet maturity wise than I was anyway (haha not saying much I guess).
I wonder what this kid could mean for Canada's Davis Cup aspirations. Though Daniel Nestor has produced some legendary singles triumphs, he's a doubles man.
Get him inside and on carpet and watch the fireworks.
On Sportsnet One now Federer is playing his first round match against a qualifier from India. This Devvarman guy is hanging in there early. Very entertaining stuff.
The crowd is Dubai is backing the underdog.

EDIT: Federer must have heard me, now he's killing the kid.

Canadian tennis star Milos Raonic has pulled out of an ATP 500 tournament in Acapulco, Mexico with a right shoulder injury, according to a Twitter update from Tennis Canada.
The 20-year-old from Thornhill, Ont. will miss play this week after visiting doctors in Acapulco about the shoulder. He is coming off a 7-6, 6-7, 7-5 loss in the final of an ATP 500 tournament in Memphis to American Andy Roddick in dramatic fashion.
Not surprising. That final on Sunday took alot out of him. Roddick has also withdrawn from the tournament in Delray Beach.

Maybe I am just cranky this morning but I found the shouting from the fans annoying. Then the announcer guy was very irritating. Was it just me?
^ I couldn't believe how terrible the crowds at the French Open are for this type of behaviour. And if there is a Frenchman playing, the crowd can't be quiet. The most partisan tennis supporters I've seen.

No doubt. Imagine if that had lights and night tennis in Paris. That would be wild.

Raonic has also noticed the return of tendinitis in the area around his right shoulder. So rather than play through the pain, he's going to give his body a break and skip this week's tournament in Mexico."
Ah. That's quite common. Everyone loves the big players. The umpire needs to control that better.
I managed to make it out there last week for the quarterfinals with Jankovic vs. Stosur, my first tennis event ever! What a great match it was, going all the way to a 3rd set tiebreaker with momentum shifts all over the place.
But to this point, I think the organizers at this tournament don't do a great job of initiating the uninitiated... it was my first live tennis match so I really had no idea what the etiquette was, when you could get up, go to your seat, etc. They really don't say much and nothing is written on the ticket itself (actually they take the ticket from you when you enter!).
Of course it doesn't help when the chair umpire speaks his awful english to a crowd of non-english speakers!
Not surprising the crowd was backing the Indian. There have got to be more Indians in this country than any other nationality, including Emiratis!
So at Delray Beach... Frank Dancevic lost one of the 4 final qualfying matches to get into the tournament. But as guys like Roddick were withdrawing from the tournament, the losers of these matches were one-by-one getting in as "Lucky Losers".
Dancevic was the lowest ranked of the 4 losers so he was 4th in-line. He would need 4 guys to drop out. Well as of yesterday, 4 guys dropped out so Dancevic gets his spot right! right?
Wrong, Dancevic forgot to put his name on the Lucky Losers list and is already on a plane to Mexico. He would have played a fellow qualifer in the first round.
Come on Frank!! This is your job, how can you forget to put your name on a list!?

Ha, that's kind of funny, but also pretty sad on his part. You think players in his situation would go above and beyond to make sure they're covering all the bases. Too bad.
