Im not a metric fan but of the bands that played tonight metric was by far the best. Anyone who was not at the game and watched on TV should help themselves to a little helping of STFU, almost every live music event i've watched on TV has sucked balls why would this be any different.

Ohh and a special shoutout to the people who prejudiced themselves earlier in the thread and returned once more to remind us they sucked, Metrics not my thing either but the only thing that actually sucked was your loser attitudes.

How the hell could you think that was lip-synced? It was a pretty bad performance but if your expert guitar skills helped you deduce that to be lip-synced or pre-recorded then you should probably fire your guitar instructor.

EDIT: Also laughing at the 2 years thing. The band has already been relevant for nearly 10 years, but yeah you're right.

Actually it was a tie. They all sucked equally.

Actually she was singing. I don't think she sounded very good, but she was definitely singing.

Yeah, exactly. People sound like their only experience with live music is from CDs and DVDs.

I didn't think they were bad, although I didn't think the type of music translated well to a stadium sporting event. I can see why people like them. They kind of sounded familiar, but I think that was just their influences coming through.

To say that they are better than a band like The Guess Who at this stage in their respective careers is just a little bit more than ludicrous, IMO. I'm starting to think I was epically trolled, as I don't think anyone who is 44 could actually say that and mean it.

And the drummer was on time. It's not his fault that what your see (speed of light) is faster than what you hear (speed of sound). But I guess Pylon knew that since he knows about guitars like those around him.

I didn't like Metric personally, but they did a fairly decent job. All the performers were decent.

She may have been singing, I have no context to compare it to, as I have never seen them perform, nor heard of them before. However, there is absolutely no way humanly possible to play guitar at that temperature with bare fingers. And playing with gloves would be impossible. You might squeak through one song, but once your tips/pads froze, your would be dead in the water.

He's obviously played in front a large stadium crowd before unlike all of us commoners. That's why he could pick up on the fact that it was actually a pre-recorded performance.

if your room is below room temperature, wouldn't that just become room temperature by default.

If you are even an intermediate guitar player, it is not hard to deduce what sound should be coming out of the instrument based on finger positioning and and strumming technique. Its ok though, I will quit spoiling the fun and running down your little emo band, or whatever they are.

If a tree falls in the forest and no one is around the hear it, did it actually make a sound?
