The special part is when you call them up and they act surprised that you are having service problems. "Oh really, we haven't had any reports"...

I get the same issues with Virgin (Bell). I can never get anything more than a text through 11-4PM dowtown (internet/email is sporatic at best, calls go right to voicemail often), then it gets better after 4 PM.
During this time I will get "Could not activate data network" messages in Safari, then the phone re-connects to the tower, but still no internet.
I was actually going to switch to Rogers, since I thought they might be better. I see not. Really it is everyone hammering the internet during the day downtown wirelessly X cheap cell phone companies not providing enough bandwidth. My friend in the burbs never get this issue, because majority of people are downtown crammed together during weekdays.
This happens in major US cities with ATT all the time. It sucks, but that is why we need more compitition in the market. These Telcos and their monopoly are the worst.

Do you use it at lunch time? It is always slow at lunch time when everyone is on, at least for me.

That is strange. I never have issues downtown, but ( I assume) you guys are about 5 blocks north and 6 east of where I am, so very well could be on a different tower.

If it makes you feel better, I can never get data on an iPhone 4 in Bankers Hall during the lunch hour on Bell.

Well that sucks.... I find the coverage better with 3G over CDMA.

I'm with Telus and I've never had a problem in the NW. Or anywhere for that matter.

iphone isnt a cdma device, its 3g only. so i imagine when your in tuscany, say at a friends house, and your 3g drops off you simply go back to cdma.
