This match was fantastic! I loved the interviews with Kenny and Carra and Meireles. Meireles just muttered something about being happy and the interviewer had nowhere to go.

Kenny is THE MAN!

What a match. Should have been at least 2-0, and I think I saw Pepe Reina reading a book during the first half.

You'd think with that kind of $$$ tied up in strikers they'd at least get a shot on goal, but I guess Carra and Skrtel were too much for them.

All of a sudden our defensive line became awesome. Now with Carra back, and he was huge, Skrtel playing strong, Agger playing exceptionally well and Kelly filling in, taking Johnson off the back line and still having the Greek God of War and Thundering Headers on the bench the defence is looking good!

Thats another thing I'm really happy about now that Hodgson is gone, no more Hoof and chase, now that they're playing the ball to feet Agger is really effective and hes happy. I was upset when he wanted to leave but now that Kenny is here everything is good.

Hodgson managed the team both tactically and mentally as a mid-table team. His interviews irritated the heck out of me. It was like he didn't realize the calibre of team he was managing. A lot has been made of the squad depth but this collection of players was much much better than the results were showing. Why on earth he didn't allow the players to pass and move is beyond me? Instead he had them pumping wayward balls down the pitch at every opportunity.

The difference in both style of play and results since Kenny came along is staggering. You would think that a man with the experience of Hodgson would be able to adapt to the players at his disposal but not so. He was so patently unsuited to managing Liverpool it's not even funny.

Like Torres I've turned the page on Hodgson now. I'm glad to be shut of both of them quite honestly.

You're dead on. Hodgson was painful to watch. The team under Hodgson was painful to watch, you could see it in their body language, there was a huge sentiment of WTF are we doing?

Watching them now is amazing, its all the intangibles, its like Kenny's presence alone says to them: "Hey, you play for Liverpool, you can do anything."

Very very true. Hodgson didn't do well at Inter either. Hodgson is a perfect manager for a team who just got promoted from the Championship. He can turn a low calibre team into the Minnesota Wild (Lemaire era), and float them in the middle of the table for a little while. He just isn't suited to it.

Kenny on the other hand, has been out of the game a long time. However, he still lives and breathes football, and his heart still beats for Liverpool FC. I will say myself that when Rafa was sacked, and many wanted Kenny to be brought in, I was skeptic of it. I thought the fans that wanted him in were thinking more with their heart than with their heads. However, they were still right. I loved how after the match vs. Stoke, I read everywhere "interesting formation choice, and it worked against Stoke, but it won't fly against the big teams". It utterly destroyed Chelsea. Anelka, Drogba and Torres had every question answered by Agger, Carragher and Skrtel. Simply beautiful. I haven't enjoyed a match this much since the 4-1 win vs. the Mancs.

Hodgson's style was pretty much summed up by himself rubbing his face vigorously.

Your favorite losers wont go away.

RBS have accepted in Court that Hicks and Gillett should be allowed to sue them, but only if legal action is in UK not USA #Liverpool

Hahaha! Thats great! They can sue RBS until they're blue in the face, so long as the cant touch NESV and Liverpool I dont care.

They going to sue for a couple billion this time? Because that would be priceless.

I like how everyone just entirely avoids the American 'legal' system if at all possible.

I'm not too worried, these two are desperate but they have no idea what they're doing.

Yep. While you never know what a lawyer can do, especially with this much money, I think it's quite cut and dry.

- Hicks and Gillett bent over a barrel. Can't repay loan.
- Ask RBS for extension
- RBS response: Yes, if we can add a 5th man to the board so that you don't have control!
- H&G say "Okayyyyy let's do this! Moneymoneymoney we live to offload LFC for one billion dollars another day!!"
- New deadline looms, a majority of the board sells the team. Nothing fishy at all.

I also have to mention that if I remember correctly, there were several meetings with NESV, and H&G simply chose not to show up. There was nothing done in secret. They simply chose not to be part of the negotiation process. Hell if they did, maybe they squeeze another 20-30 million quid out of them. I hope some day they accept that they completely made this mess themselves. Wonder if Hicks has time to go to the saddledome next Wednesday for the Stars game? If I hear he's there, I'm buying a ticket.

The thing that I love. And I wish I had a T-Shirt with this slogan:

"Blow me f#$#face."

A lot of people dont understand the significance of those three magic words.

The Liverpool Board at the time was, as I recall, Tom Hicks, Tom Hicks Jr., George Gillette, Rick Parry and Martin Broughton. So, still 3-2 for Cancer.

As soon as Hicks Jr. sent that email he was forced to resign, an independant was brought in and then it was 3-2 for the good!

So, those two can blow me.

In my opinion, if those two had shown up at the negotiations Henry and NESV would have given them less money. During the sale John Henry made it very clear the disdain he felt for Hicks and Gillette. I loved it.

I believe Hicks Jr. was ousted a good while before the arrival of Broughton (was it Ian Ayre that took Junior's place?).

Either way, I don't much care for unimportant details. Between "blow me #$#%face" and "Epic Swindle", Liverpool FC fans have two new (hilarious) inside jokes. That's the only thing those #######s left us.

An appearance at the stars game with signs with both of those slogans would be great (although the Junior quote would get you booted out and possibly banned for a while from the dome). Either way, good stuff. Wigan on Saturday morning, can not wait!

I keep saying it, but I won't stop until it happens: Jagger, one of these days you've gotta come down to our pub. Not easy living in Red Deer I know, but especially with how long you've been supporting the Reds, you'll meet a lot of people who you can have good long talks with that'll take you back.

And Nuje, I'll make it back to the pub one of these days soon. I'm in Vegas for the Wigan game, but I'm sure I'll be able to find a place to watch it.

Excellent. Speaking of Vegas, the supporters clubs are planning a conference for Vegas in June. I unfortunately can't make it as I have to go to Poland the following week for a cousin's wedding, but I wish I could. There is going to be a former player present as a speaker as well.

Hey, which pub is it that you watch games at? To be honest, I'm getting a bit bored with streaming games online, with terrible quality and sometimes in other languages.

I guess the only places I know that might show most games would be Schanks and Ship and Anchor.

Hicks can eat a big sloppy one :

Quote:
Liverpool have expressed their satisfaction with the High Court's decision to stop former owner Tom Hicks from taking legal action in the United States over what he called an ''epic swindle''.

The American is not able to pursue a lawsuit in the US, where damages can be much more punitive, without the permission of an English court. The judge also cleared the way for Hicks to be sued himself.

Hicks, who along with co-owner George Gillett pledged to get damages of at least $1.6 billion, applied to the same judge last week to lift the anti-suit orders - which had been placed ''on the basis of what appeared to me [Mr Justice Floyd] to be the unconscionable conduct of the former owners in seeking to undermine the English proceedings''.

Perhaps more importantly for Hicks, the judge dismissed an application to 'strike out or stay' claims by Sir Martin Broughton, former chairman of the club, to seek damages against Hicks for his actions while owner. And NESV were also given the right to join Broughton in any legal action, which means the new Liverpool owners, Broughton and RBS could collectively sue Hicks.

Mr Justice Floyd, in his ruling, said the sale of Liverpool came about because of Mr Hicks and Mr Gillett's indebtedness and explained why he did not discharge the anti-suit injunction which still bars the duo from starting any legal action in the United States.

''The reality of the situation is that the former owners have already started two sets of proceedings and openly asserted their intention to start more,'' he said. ''They will undoubtedly start more proceedings if allowed to do so. There is a real threat that those proceedings will be in the United States.
''I still find it difficult to imagine what possible real connection such a claim would have with any jurisdiction in the United States.

''The disputes concern an English asset, duties owed by English directors under English law to English companies, and corporate governance arrangements governed by English law.

''I think the time has come when they need to state their case or accept that they do not have one.''
http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/st...ruling?cc=5901

Mr. Justice Floyd might just be becoming a Liverpool fan! The guy will be drinking free beer from me if he ever makes his way across the pond over here!
