2-2 early.

Raonic has lost just 1 point on his serve and Verdasco saved FOUR break points in his last service game. Raonic didn't have a single break point on Sunday. He's definitely got the Spaniard nervous early.

Verdasco is barely surviving.

Raonic is 1/7 on break opportunities! Need to convert those or else it might come back to haunt him.

Raonic wins the first set 6-4, was not touched on his serve at all.

Won the first set again and you've gotta think Verdasco just has no confidence now, hope he can close it out.

The #8 seed was also in his 1/4 bracket and got knocked out already by a qualifier so if he can beat Verdasco again he wouldn't have to face a seeded player until the semis if he keeps winning and the points are double in this tourney so he could really shoot up the rankings.

Sweet. I am watching the Flames and watching the tennis score on my iPhone app. Another great victory for Raonic. I am sure Verdasco is hitting himself in the head again.

soooo Marino and Raonic continue tomorrow.

Marino has her quarterfinal first at 9am MT against Coco Vanderweghe.
Marino is the only seed left in the draw.

Raonic has an early return, 2nd match on the main court against Radek Stepanek.

Roanic has to be careful here...quick turn around and Stepanek is a cagey veteran.

Cry-baby Verdasco can't stand losing to this kid 2x in a week.

A frustrated Verdasco, who was the No. 2 seed in Memphis, lamented having to play the hard-serving Raonic twice in conditions that favour his game and not Verdasco's.

"For me that's not a real match in tennis," Verdasco said. "I hope to play soon against him in clay court to show him what it is to play tennis, and play rallies, and run, and not only serve."

Nice comment coming from a sterotypical Spanish 'dirt rat'. If he had his way the entire ATP Tour would be played on the slow, boring, lifeless red dirt found throughout southern Europe.

Bo-ring!
