You people should be celebrating.
Sodium Fluoride is an industrial poison derived from the following industries:
-fertilizer
-aluminum (and other metals)
-nuclear weapons
This stuff is 20x more toxic than natural occuring calcium fluoride, which is found in trace amounts in ground water supplies.
Seriously, the dental benefits are proving to be negligible.
Fluoride is supposed to be administered topically. This is why the dentist rinses the fluoride foam from your mouth, and why your tooth paste label warns you to not swallow it, for you could get very sick.
Swallowing and ingesting fluoride is the equivalent of drinking sun screen to prevent a sun burn.

Medical tests all over the world have proven sodium fluoride to be hazardous to human health in so many ways. It causes infertility, cancer, endocrine dysfunction, lower IQ/brain damage, liver/kidney damage in kids etc. It goes on and on.

Interestingly, the first two places where water fluoridation was used was in Nazi Germany prison camps, and Stalin's gulag camps. Of course fluoride concentrations were higher then what we consume now, but it reportedly made the prisoners sterile, dumb and lethargic. I believe the term was "calm submission"......
USAF Major George R. Jordan testified before Un-American Activity committees of Congress in the 1950's that in his post as U.S.-Soviet liaison officer, the Soviets openly admitted to "Using the fluoride in the water supplies in their concentration camps, to make the prisoners stupid, docile, and subservient."
If you want, Christopher Bryson has a 45 minute documentary on youtube called "The Fluoride Deception". I found it rather interesting.

Fluoride is also used as the basic ingredient for Prozac, Sarin nerve gas, rat poisons, and pesticides.
Mmmmmm, yummy!
Most of western Europe (90+%) does not fluoridate their drinking water.
They know how bad it is for you, and they don't have an epidemic of dental caries either. In fact fluoride makes your teeth brittle, and you can get those nasty white checks on them known as dental fluorosis.

Dasani water in Canada was processed Calgary tap water. They opened a second bottling plant in Brampton, Ontario.
So now without the flouride in the tap water now, we will be basically drinking Dasani at a fraction of the cost.

"Swallowing and ingesting fluoride is the equivalent of drinking sun screen to prevent a sun burn."
Good quote.
If you want fluoride have the dental association put fluoride in mouth wash or toothpaste. Oh... wait...
The main ingredient in Prozac tm is Fluoride or "fluoxetine". Heard this at a pub during MNF and I didn't believe it till I looked it up.
I just don't want it in my drinking water when it's in so many common daily use products already.

Mikey: you should read up about dihydrogen monoxide (DHMO), another substance found in our water supply. I don't know why council hasn't considered banning this yet. Just look at the dangers:
Quote:
-Death due to accidental inhalation of DHMO, even in small quantities.
-Prolonged exposure to solid DHMO causes severe tissue damage.
-Excessive ingestion produces a number of unpleasant though not typically life-threatening side-effects.
-DHMO is a major component of acid rain.
-Gaseous DHMO can cause severe burns.
-Contributes to soil erosion.
-Leads to corrosion and oxidation of many metals.
-Contamination of electrical systems often causes short-circuits.
-Exposure decreases effectiveness of automobile brakes.
-Found in biopsies of pre-cancerous tumors and lesions.
-Given to vicious dogs involved in recent deadly attacks.
-Often associated with killer cyclones in the U.S. Midwest and elsewhere, and in hurricanes including deadly storms in Florida, New Orleans and other areas of the southeastern U.S.
-Thermal variations in DHMO are a suspected contributor to the El Nino weather effect.

It's in your food and beverages.
You shower in it.

Fluoride is in mouthwash and toothpaste for its topical effect on teeth. Fluoride in the water is mainly (it does have some topical effect) for its systemic uptake in to the developing tooth.

I'm happy to see this finally removed. The amount I've spent in filters and water systems to get the fluroide specifically removed from the water because more then a mouthful causes stomach distress that I'd rather eat at any greasy diner then drink tap water has been insane.

Check the first one. Check the film.
But if you really want to help, maybe we could mix a higher concentration of fluoride in your personal supply of water, just to see what kind of sick, awful creature you turn into. Do it for medicine....
But seriously, this is also a human rights violation. Ultimately, it is forced medication.

They should just leave it in for a week past when they are supposed to stop adding it. That way someone from the anti-Fluoride group will talk about how much healthier they feel and expose themselves for being complainers.

Mikey the Redneck continues to live up to his name!
I don't really drink tap water very often but I do brush my teeth with it. I will miss the Fluoride as it is perfectly safe and only costs a dollar a person a year to fluoridate the water supply.
