Official...Lazeo is done...

Even though Lazeo played several seasons with Saskatchewan, he thanked Stampeders fans "for not wearing watermelons on their heads. You guys are definitely the class of the league. You don't get too crazy, but you're crazy enough when we need you."

According to twitter tonight, the Stamps have signed Romby Bryant to a new 2 year deal. Apparently he makes Bryant one of the top 5 paid WR's in the game.

Twitter says...Fantusz a Bear!

Put those green Rider flags at half mast. Andy Fantuz just announced he's going to be a Chicago Bear.

Ballsy move by Fantuz with the impending lockout.

Best of luck to him. The guy's got amazing hands.

Nothing would give me greater pleasure than the Riders finishing in the basement in the CFL west. The franchise itself doesn't bother me too much ....outside, of course:

-obnoxious advertising in other cities
-(once) having a GM who's a convicted sex offender
-advertising that they're 100 years old when in fact 100 years ago there was so such thing as the rough riders, nor were they playing football

What really bothers me is the fan base. They're clowns. In a province filled with farms, hicks, racists, and NOTHING to do, they get all worked up over their Riders (when they win). That's fine, bandwaggoning is nothing new, even on a state/provincial level. No, what bothers me is the false premise that they live under. That they're the same quality of fan as the Packer fan. You aren't. You're ignorant hooligans who power drink at a crappy shed they put a field on...then dump manure on a lawn in anger after a loss. You boo and run Ron Lancester out of town then suddenly have a huge love affair with him decades later. "The little general" you people lovingly call him. It's like watching a wife beater who divorced a poor woman at 40 then wails in tears at her funeral after 30+years of estrangement.

I also love the equally hilarious and absurd notion that Saskatchewan is the “Texas” of Canada for football. This lunacy isn’t even worth responding to, it’s just funny to see it written.

Rough Rider fans are the embodiment of what's wrong with the CFL and they make me sick at a very personal level. Nothing will make me feel better than when that loser franchise goes back in the toilet where they belong and the stadium goes back to 18~k people and the chaches who show up now go back to power drinking on their parents tractors.

Maybe not huge to many but I guess the CFL has signed a hat deal with New Era, which means we can get 59Fifty hats for our beloved Stampeders. I'm excited. Here's a pic btw.

Interesting because Reebok made the old hats.

But doesn't Reebok still make the jerseys? Please tell me that partnership is over as well! There are so many things I hate about the Reebok jerseys, I pray that they'll change soon.

I was born and raised in Saskatchewan and was a Roughriders fan long before I turned to the Stamps...and that took years of living in Cowtown to change.
I love the Stamps....just as I used to love the Riders.
The above rant is nothing more than a sore loser or disappointed fan, someone who takes themselves and whatever team they cheer for FAR to seriously.
I have lived on the west side and now the east side of Canada and no other team has as many fans at away games as those of the Riders. Hate them as a fan, but your rant borders on insanity, you have taken it far to far and likely need to take a break from professional sports if you cant see through the crap you posted above.
Ive seen crap fans from every team in the league and in every sport...and quite frankly the CFL was around before the NFL so Riders fans have every right to be proud of their team as any Packers fan would be of theirs....cheeseheads and all!

Woohoo!! Stamps' killer hopefully stays in the NFL and not come back to the Riders in the future. I actually like the Fantuz play. I just can't stand him because he plays for the Riders and he usually play so well against the Stamps. Good luck to Fantuz and like I said I hope you stay in Chicago for a long time. Now I might consider cheering for him if he sticks with the Bears as they are one of my teams in the NFL.

Lol, yeah, becuase let me tell you, the majority of CPers just love the riders and everything to do with them. You should hear all the nice things everyone has to say when we play the stamps. /sarcasm

Anyway, its to bad to see O'Day go, but if the time is right for him, at least he's staying with the organization. Good luck to him. The good thing is that him and Makowsky didn't retire in the same offseason, that would have been a big hit for our o-line to take losing 2 veterans at once.

Oh, and good luck to Fantuz as well, as much as I would love to have him here, I hope he succeeds in the NFL.

Question, since he signed in the NFL, he wouldn't be able to play in the CFL if there was a lockout in the NFL next season would he?

That is correct. Fantuz is 27 (i think) and if there is a lockout he is contractually obligated to sit on his couch for a full year.

The signing bonus must be really good because that's all the money he's gonna get for a full year if there is a lockout.

Ballsy move on his part.
