Thank you to the d-bag (in an oversized truck, of course) who cut a COP off making an illegal turn from 5th onto MacLeod from the left lane today. Watching him get pulled over made my day.

I'm thankful Sarah Palin never got to be Vice President...

I've read the vaunted FOI forum and it doesn't seem like this new directive is being universally applied. Anyway, since you asked, I'll answer.
Um, unless the post is empty, EVERY post has some sort of thought process behind it. People do things because they are motivated to do them, if they weren't motivated to do them they wouldn't do them.

So it's not a directive no. I did enjoy the backhanded criticism though.

But do you care if someone else finds your posts insulting?

Enough poking eventually becomes malicious, even if it isn't the intent. You try to summon the motivation to deal with something current when you can't ever escape being poked for things that happened in the distant past.

Who knows, maybe it's because the mods think more of your opinion than others? Or that they believe you do it knowing full well what it is you are doing whereas others just don't know any better? Who can understand the human heart.

Sure, but there must be a way to do it without it being sarcasm directed at a few individuals.

Find a way. You say you post here solely for your own enjoyment. The mods do not have that luxury, trying to deal with stuff that people post is often FAR from enjoyment. Words have power, and intent or not sometimes they can cause harm when the desire is just for entertainment.

This comment sounds very paternalistic. "I expect more of you son. I don't care what the other kids are doing, I have higher expectations for you. You've disappointed me."

Being awesome means never having to whore yourself out for thanks.

Strongly disagree. I will agree that some brain activity is needed to post, however I'll argue that if a laptop gets left open a cat is more than capable of making a post

Wasn't backhanded at all. I felt it was pretty overt

Not even a little. Nor do I care if someone insults me. Although I do consciously try not to insult the poster, only the post.

I still can't imagine the moderating crew here finds me hurtful. You've generally proven yourselves to be mostly rational level headed people not prone to emotion response and because a couple of you are part of the inside joke - you know, if you choose to be.

Thanks for the compliment. I'm a big fan of those. And yes, I do know full well what I'm doing. It's part of the reason I have a rationale behind my post while most don't (not a backhanded criticism, that one too is open)

One again I disagree. We all know what being a mod here entails. Enjoy it. If you can't, then don't do it. You aren't obligated. But if you're going to do it, you might as well do it well.

Anyway, I'm sure there is something more to your questioning of my post(s) over and above me being an occasional belligerent, yet hilarious prick. I'd love to hear what it is. So PM me.
