Liverpool will probably be a better team with Suarez, Carroll and Adam if that deal goes through as well. But $35 million is a lot to spend on Carroll, that is is elite level money and to me Carroll has not proven he can be that player yet.

This deal has the potential to end up looking good, but could also end up looking very, very bad.

Stolen from elsewhere "Mesut Ozil+Sami Khedira+Van Der Vaart+Javier Hernandez = Andy Carroll."

1835: Chelsea and Liverpool have agreed a fee for Fernando Torres and the player is now awaiting a medical, BBC understands.

Not a surprise or anything but confirmation.

Apparently he's signed on for 150-175k/week plus 2m/year for image rights. Not bad! puke.

Damn money spenders! Heard a rumor of Bendtner for $17 mill to Newcastle but then just about every team must be receiving an offer for striker since Newcastle has some forward space to fill and dough to spend.

I'd love to see pink shoes leave Emirates though, take the haircut with him.

I don't think so. It's completely excessive (as is the Torres deal), sure, but he's a very good player with the potential to be world class. He can score any which way you want, he's got pace, he's strong, he can be a lethal finisher. These are all qualities that you need in a good striker. Carroll has them. Torres used to have those qualities too and Carroll cost less than him. I trust Dalglish to know a good striker when he sees one.

Good bit of business then......

Stolen from elsewhere....

Q: "Who is the big winner in this transfer window?"

A: Mike Ashley's bookmaker, casino owner or favoured bar.

As a Chelsea supporter I'm freaking thrilled! more so because my buddy is a die hard Liverpool fan and Torres fan.

Good stuff, we had many epic Fifa battles where he'd destroy me with Torres and now he's got nothing!

Really? A Chelsea supporter? I imagine cheering for Chelsea is a lot like patting yourself on the back for having sex with a hooker.

He's got Suarez and Carroll and King Kenny behind the bench.

You got a shadow of his former self.

Your buddy is doing fine.
