1726: BREAKING NEWS: LIVERPOOL ANNOUNCE THEY HAVE AGREED A FEE FOR NEWCASTLE STRIKER ANDY CARROLL
Mother fer.
Goddamn it. They bought Carroll for way, way too much money and sold Torres. I'm choked.
Goddamn Chelsea. I hate Chelsea.
If someone had told me last week that we'd sell and replace Torres with a vastly inferior striker and the difference in money between just the two of them would be £15M I'd be speechless.
Honestly, they spent £65M on Carroll and Suarez and got £50M for Torres.
I'm raging right now, I think these are terrible moves for Liverpool.
Stupid, stupid English. Unbelievable. Carroll is worth £35M and Suarez, who I thought was stupendously overpriced, but consider a vastly superior player to Carroll was only £28M?
This is terrible. WTF is going on? You know Kenny cant be behind this, its gotta be Damien.

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.
I don't have much time to post right now but, quickly,
Carroll is way overpriced but he was always going to be given the Torres situation and deadline day etc.
However, Carroll has massive potential. Massive. Great in the air, great on the ground, has pace, puts defenders on the arse consistently. He could be scary good. 35m is much too much but that's the way it is sometime.
Suarez is good business period.
If Adam comes this is a great day for Liverpool.
Torres's heart hasn't been with Liverpool for over a year now. No point keeping a sulky player.

5.47pm: Back on Charlie Adam, Sky Sports claim a car is on its way from Liverpool to pick up the midfielder from Bloomfield Road. I don't know how you Liverpool fans can digest all this information!
Apparently he's signed on for 150-175k/week plus 2m/year for image rights. Not bad! puke.

Salt in the wound...But does Torres debut AGAINST Liverpool? Ouch!

I think Liverpool did well, especially when you consider that they paid 20 mil for Torres originally. To me they added two of the most promising strikers in their early 20s out there. Carroll has a better strike rate than Torres this year, with Newcastle's mid feeding him.

You know, there's really no salt involved here. Torres was obviously not interested in playing here anymore, hasn't been for over a year. He's been a shadow of his former self and honestly looked like he was sulking out there. There is absolutely no point in having a player that doesn't want to play for your team anymore.
He says he wants to win trophies, fine. That *might* have happened at Liverpool, it might even happen at Chelsea. I'm sure that the huge amount of money they are throwing at him has nothing whatsoever to do with it.
I'm glad that they profited majorly from him and I'm happy to see it reinvested right away. That wouldn't have happened under the old regime. Uncle Tom would have gladly pocketed that loose change.
Carroll should be a real good 'un. Slightly concerned that he is injured right now though.
Hope they pick up Adam too. He's a quality player too.
To answer your question, I hope Torres does debut against Liverpool. That will be awesome to see him get clattered by Carra a couple of times and Suarez netting the winner. Poetry in motion that...........
How about his last quote? Do you find that harsh or am I over analyzing it?

His armband proved he was a red, Torres, Torres.
But Romans money turned his head, Torres, Torres.
Went to the club with plastic flags,
and where your captain will shag your WAG,
Fernando Torres, another cockney slag!!

Chelsea being one of the ' top clubs in the world'
Well in terms of money then yes. Otherwise, they are as plastic as they come.
It was on ChelseaTV he has to suck up the pensioners now doesn't he?
