I have a garage & never have to scrape ice, brush snow off or plug in... No matter how cold...

Actually, I didn't find them too bad on the Westside. Except for the entrance to the Tim Horton's complex. Super slick. I thought the physics had been turned off, and the road was a frictionless surface.

The roads were fine, a little slick in the left lane, but the right lane was pretty much clear. The white knucklers were more of a hazard than the weather.

Dog owners know of just 2 seasons.. the wet season and the dry season.

LOL, today I was in Bridgeland, and some d-bag in an H2 with big pimp wheels and what I am assuming are high performance low profile summer tires, couldn't get up a hill. Just blew by him in my homely FWD GTI with 16" Pirrelli snowsports and gave him a wave. He in turn, gave me the finger...lol.
You have a frikkin Hummer, yet you decide to completely neuter its capabilities in the winter with your penor extender wheels.... good plan d-bag.
He had those big hip hop sunglasses on, so the assumption has to be made he was wearing an Ed Hardy shirt too.

^ I wasn't thanking your post as much as thanking your actions. Now go to the Subaru thread and tell me what you think about the TDI.

Looks like most of the snow is over. Just too cold to really snow & keep putting up big numbers. Best atmospheric temperatures to create a large snowfall is anything around
-12C & above. At -20C like it is now there's not enough moisture in the air to fuel the snow machine so it dies. That's why our spring storms pack such a punch because the air is so much warmer.
Would have loved to see another 10 cms for sure. Might happen but I doubt it.

I think we're supposed to get the last dusting of this cycle today, with 2cm expected over the day.
Back up to 11 on Friday; time to refill the washer fluid!

Also, watch out for those Chinook winds on Tuesday. Current forecast has the temperature going from -25 to -4 on that day. Hope everyone can keep their feet firmly fixed to the ground... keep all small pets on leashes.

Well got into my first accident thanks to this weather. Totally slow motion. I slid a car length into the SUV in front of me, even with my tires it didn't help as it is pure ice at some of the kensington intersections. Just hit the gas at a light, guy in front hit his brake b/c of a jaywalker (in Kensington...never!) and i slid into him. It was crazy, my speedo hadn't even moved up from the peg--that's how slow it was. Like a curling stone. Just a bit of cosmetic damage to me-nothing to him. Still annoying as frack.

I have a rental car right now, man I forgot what it's like to drive without AWD.
Rental's a lot newer than my car though, all the modern traction control and skid control and whatever else control stuff they throw in cars make it pretty hard to actually lose control though, it's impressive and annoying at the same time.
