Yeah exactly.

We spread cow manure on our barley/wheat crops every year and we usually get better yields than our neighbors.

Poo makes the world go 'round.....

There was a franchise from Texas that had good fish tacos in Eau Claire, but it did not last long there.

Taco Bell in Canada is fine (for the most part) , in the US, it's questionable.

I'm assuming that the 35% is an american number, I bet its significantly higher in Canada.

I worked at Burger King about a decade ago and they explained to me that while the permitted percentages of non-beef products is lower than it used to be, it is still fairly high.

And I'm not talking random animal parts. Sawdust was the extra ingredient of choice.

You're telling me humans are eating sawdust?

That should be illegal.

I really like Rubio's in Phoenix (I think they are a small chain). The make a salmon lime burrito that is fantastic. It has a nice large piece of salmon in it, with lime and a southwest type dressing. I can't wait to get back to Phoenix in another 4 weeks - that's the first place I'm going to.

BTW - Taco Bell is garbage - I ate there a couple of times - I hate it.

Burrito Bandidos here in Toronto makes the best burritos you will ever eat. Period. If you're ever here, go get them.

There's a bit of a difference between "the cow this beef came from may have eaten something not optimal," and "the cow this beef came from may have eaten something non-optimal so we mixed the lowest quality beef we could buy with 65% chemicals." I get that life can't be perfect, but at 65% filler you're not even trying.

Yeah dude, not to be a dick, but if you're seriously concerned about the long term health affects of eating at Taco Bell for lunch are, I wouldn't focus on the "Is it beef" question, as much as the "Why am I eating 1300 Calories for lunch" question.

Yeah, I call BS on the sawdust.
Humans can't digest wood, so if that were the case we'd all be seeing sawdust in our poo.

Plus, why have I never heard of a reputable source saying the same thing? Why is it always some guy who worked at a fast food restaraunt who just cooked the burgers and had nothing to do with the actual preparation of the ingredients, that is "Breaking" this story?

You are correct, we don't know the long-term affects of the meat filler. We do however know the long-term affects of the salt and sugar in fast food. I'm not ripping on you ... I eat more than my share of fast food. My totally uneducated guess is that the majority of harm to your body will come from the fat in the meal and not the chemicals used to make the beef go further.

Honestly I've given up trying to find good Mexican food in this city. There are some places that are okay I guess, but nothing very authentic.

The locations of what? Unless you're talking about processing plants where the frankenstein ingredients are assembled I don't see how personal experience can bring you to that conclusion.

You clearly haven't had a good fish taco. When fresh they are absolutely amazing.

The best taco's I've ever had where in California, and the best taco I had in California was at a little place called Taco Loco off the PCH in Malibu. Extremely fresh and delicious....it's what dreams are made of.

Not sure why but Mexican food outside of California (and of course Mexico) is pretty horrible by comparison.
