I'd say its more that if elected, Morton would place socially conservative people in positions of power.

Health? We already have outlandish wait times in emergencies, surgical waiting lists & times are unacceptable. Not enough acute care beds, not enough senior care.
Education? Not building new schools? Closing down others? Class sizes are already critical. The turkeys want to make them even larger by cutting teaching positions? Cut funding to school boards?
Cut infrastructure like letting roads & sewers get old & start to crumble? Not fund major cities in this province? Remember when Bronconnier screamed bloody murder about funding to Calgary? Listen to the screams get louder.
Where are they going to cut? If the Tories think people are mad at them now, just wait until they cut more from places like health care & education.

I don't know if you realize, but this isn't so far fetched. The School Act is being opened this year and it will be interesting to see whats done with the boards and education governance in general.

I walked off and will try and avoid future union jobs if possible, regardless if the one experience makes me somewhat ignorant towards the positives unions do.

I'm thankful every day I get rewarded based on merit and not how long I've been around at a company.

It's not always about cuts. We have thrown increasing amounts of money into healthcare, yet conditions get worse. We need to take a serious look at "how" we are doing things.

As an outsider, positives supplied by unions often seem to directly and purposefully screw (often with enthusiasm and self-righteousness) the very people that employ their members or the end customers of their product/service.

The carbon capture program sounds interesting, but the private side should be investing most of the money. I have no problem with giving some serious tax incentive to those that do, but no way us taxpayers should be paying billions for it.

There are a lot of different ways of tackling the health care problem that don't include spending more money or making serious cuts.
