I own an iPhone 3GS. I let my 2 year old play with it all the time (I have a bunch of kids apps on my phone). He was playing with it while we were grocery shopping last night and the screen smashed. The phone still works perfectly fine but its annoying to read the screen since it got spider webbed
So my question is do I have to buy a new phone or could I just buy a new screen (at an Apple store or Rogers store) and replace it myself?
Give these guys a call. They'll do it for less money than Apple will if you're not under warranty. Lots of guys on CP have used them and could vouch for the quality.
Ya they are awesome. I think they have a permanent residence now for an office, but it's not on the site so maybe they're still a little ways off. If you're on twitter they generally reply right away too ... great service. Just a little traveling mom and pop operation.
I believe their permanent location is in Eau Claire Market now. Just call for an appointment though as it will be easier than waiting if they're with someone else.
I put my wifes iphone in the diaper bag and the screen cracked. We went to the Apple store and they fixed it for free. We didnt have a warranty. Worth a try
