Actually the remote I used to have for my old truck required this. It would only unlock the doors from within 5ft. and only if you pointed the remoted at one the little dome senors in the truck...
One of my pet peeve's is the deals and discount thread. I don't like the consumerist mentallity of buying things because they're on sale when you generally don't need them. No, you didn't save $50, you just wasted $50 on something you're never going to use!
I guess that probably belonged in the wgmg thread but I also don't like giant threads that you can't keep up with...

Yes I think some jeeps had this... no?
In that case, I can let it go.

It annoys me that this actually annoys people. Same with people that always correct others when the say PIN number, or mention the sign "8 items or less" at grocery stores should be "8 items or fewer."

People who actually get bothered in everyday life because of what other people around them do.... Who cares, live your own life.

Yeah, I'd much rather go through life passively accepting all the bs around me and pretend like nothing bothers me. Ever.

Yes. It always comes off a little bit like a question is being asked. Drives me insane.
More annoyances:
- Usage of the term "wobbly pop" instead of beer. I have no idea why this bothers me.
- People who complain incessantly about the cold weather in Calgary as if it's the first year it's ever happened. It's as predictable as the sun rising in the morning and beyond dressing appropriately there's nothing you can do about it.

Back when it was socially acceptable to drink and drive, beers were called "road pops"

If you were viewing the object from the point of arrival, you would use bring.
Such as: "I hope that when parch and his wife come to the party, they bring a bottle of wine."
or
"Could you please bring me that slice of pizza?"
When viewing from the point of departure, you don't use "bring", you typically use "take".
"Hey wife, when we go to that party let's take a bottle of wine."
or
"I will take Malcolm this slice of pizza."
It's very similar to when people use "borrow" and "lend" incorrectly. You say "Can I borrow $10?", but you don't say "I will borrow you $10."
